Fredericton is a provincial capital with the pace of a university town, and Fredericton International Airport (YFC) reflects that: a small terminal in Lincoln, a short list of daily departures and arrivals, and a ground transportation page that lists three taxi companies, a ridesharing app and rental desks. What it does not list is an airport shuttle or a city bus. That gap is exactly where a Fredericton airport limo fits. LimousineCanada.ca offers a chauffeured sedan, SUV or Executive Sprinter booked in advance, with the fare shown before you confirm.
What a Fredericton airport limo includes
Every transfer starts with flight tracking, so a late Toronto connection or an early Ottawa arrival moves the pickup without any calls. Your chauffeur is assigned before the day and sends the car description and a mobile number. After landing, you have 30 minutes of free waiting on domestic arrivals and 60 minutes on international ones, counted from the actual touchdown.
The service is quoted door to door. You are not paying a meter that runs through a bridge detour, and you are not paying a surcharge because you booked an early flight. The vehicles are described on the fleet page, and the way fares are built is explained on the limo rates page.
How far is Fredericton airport from downtown, and what does a limo cost?

Fredericton International Airport is about 14 km from downtown Fredericton, a drive of roughly 15 minutes. A pre-booked airport limo costs $145–$175 in an Executive Sedan, $180–$220 in a Luxury SUV and $295–$355 in an Executive Sprinter, because the minimum transfer applies on short runs. Tolls, tax and gratuity are extra.
The distance figure comes from the Fredericton Capital Region tourism office. Longer runs scale with distance, as the table shows. Use it for planning, then let the booker price your exact address.
| Trip from YFC | Distance | Typical time | Executive Sedan | Luxury SUV | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Finding your driver at YFC in Lincoln
The airport's address is 2570 Route 102 in Lincoln, on the south-east side of the city, and it is reached from the city along Route 102. The terminal offers GoodMaps interactive wayfinding for anyone who needs an accessible route, and the airport publishes a terminal map on its website.
Our standard pickup is at the curb, with the driver in touch by message as soon as you land. If you would rather be met by a person holding a name board inside the building, add the meet-and-greet for $100–$150. First-time guests of the university, visiting judges and board members arriving to a meeting tend to choose it. Departing passengers are picked up at the address you give and delivered to the departures curb.
Airlines on the airport's own list are Air Canada, Porter and WestJet, with Air Transat shown for a seasonal winter sun route.
Fredericton taxis, Uride and rental cars compared
The airport's ground transportation page names Checker Cab, Trius Taxi and Loyal Taxi, and Uride as the ridesharing option. It lists rental desks for Avis, Budget, Enterprise and National, plus an off-airport Hertz service. It does not list shuttles or a bus. Checker Cab publishes its YFC fares, including HST, in a PDF on the airport site, which is the right place to check a current figure.

| Option | Typical cost | Time to downtown | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taxi (Checker, Trius, Loyal) | Metered; see Checker Cab's published YFC fare sheet | About 15 min | One or two travellers going downtown |
| Uride ridesharing | App price at booking time | About 15 min | Travellers who already use the app and carry little luggage |
| Rental car | Daily rate plus fuel | Self-drive | Visitors planning several days across the province |
| Airport shuttle or city bus | Not listed by the airport | Not applicable | Not an option at present |
| Pre-booked chauffeured car | $145–$175 sedan, $180–$220 SUV | About 15 min | Groups, luggage, early flights, meet-and-greet, business |
If you are alone with a backpack and going to a downtown hotel, a taxi is the cheaper answer and we will say so. When the party grows, when you land at an odd hour or when your hosts want you to be met properly, pre-booking is the calmer choice. Our comparison of limo vs rideshare goes through the trade-offs in more detail.
Matching the vehicle to your party
An Executive Sedan takes three passengers with two large suitcases and two carry-on bags, which suits one or two professionals. A Luxury SUV takes six passengers and five or six large bags, and it is the logical choice for a family, for a small delegation or for a visitor with equipment cases. An Executive Sprinter takes 12 to 14 passengers and more than a dozen bags, and it moves a whole conference table or wedding party in one vehicle. A stretch limousine for 8 to 10 passengers is available by the hour only.
Winter changes the calculus slightly. Ski bags, bulky coats and snow boots take space, so when you are uncertain, pick the next size up.
Government, university and corporate travel
Fredericton's weekday traffic is the work of the legislature, the university, the courts and the base at CFB Gagetown near Oromocto. We set up accounts for organisations that move people regularly, and each trip can carry a project code or a purchase order reference. See the corporate car service page for how accounts, invoicing and confidentiality are handled.

For UNB, visiting speakers, examiners and recruitment candidates are common passengers. A sedan meeting a guest speaker at YFC, waiting during the lecture and returning them for an evening flight can be booked as an hourly day: $135–$165 per hour with a two-hour minimum. A six-hour visit therefore costs $810–$990 for the vehicle.
Fredericton to Saint John and Moncton by private car
Saint John is about 125 km from YFC and the drive takes around 1 hour 20 minutes along Route 7. Moncton is about 180 km on the Trans-Canada Highway, roughly 1 hour 50 minutes. Both are comfortable one-way transfers when you want to avoid a connection through Montréal or Toronto. The same road links up with our Saint John Airport page and Moncton Airport page if you are trying to match a flight on the far side.
Moose are a real hazard on New Brunswick highways at dawn and dusk, particularly on the Fredericton to Saint John route, which is why we do not recommend squeezing a long transfer into the last hour of daylight. Leave earlier and arrive calmer. For the cruise-season transfer from Fredericton to a Saint John ship, our Saint John cruise port page covers where to be and when.
A day from Fredericton to the Bay of Fundy
The Hopewell Rocks sit about 220 km from YFC, 2 hours 30 minutes by road. The Albert County Museum puts the distance from Fredericton at 215 km and the tourism office gives a similar route, so the figure is consistent. It is a long day, and the tide dictates the schedule. The park publishes tide times in Atlantic Time and asks visitors to check before they go, because the ocean floor can be walked only around low tide. See the park's page at Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park.

For this trip we recommend an Executive Sprinter for groups or a SUV for six travellers or fewer, on an hourly booking with a ten-hour allowance. A SUV at $175–$210 per hour for ten hours comes to $1,750–$2,100 for the vehicle, which is $290–$350 per head across six people.
Our guide to Hopewell Rocks and the Bay of Fundy lists what to bring.
Staying in Fredericton: the Queen Street weekend
Many visitors treat Fredericton as a compact walking city, and it is. Queen Street holds the Beaverbrook Art Gallery at number 703, whose permanent collection spans New Brunswick, Canadian and international art, and the Legislative Assembly sits across the street. Much of the city centre can be covered on foot.
That means a chauffeur is most valuable at the edges of the trip: the airport transfer, the dinner outside the downtown core, the evening that ends late and the excursion beyond the city. The Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival is usually held in September and fills hotels and restaurants. If your trip coincides with it, book the airport transfer earlier.
Weddings and events
Fredericton weddings pull guests from across the Maritimes and from Ontario and Québec. Plan the arrival day around the airport timetable, which has a handful of flights rather than a dozen, and group guests onto a Sprinter per flight. On the wedding day, a stretch limousine is billed at $225–$300 per hour with a three-hour minimum, and a mini-coach for 20 to 30 guests runs $300–$420 per hour with a four-hour minimum. Our wedding limo page covers timelines for ceremony, photographs and reception.
International arrivals and customs
YFC is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency, so seasonal international flights clear at the airport before you reach the curb. We give 60 minutes of free waiting for international arrivals. Have your travel documents in your hand luggage, not in a checked bag, and consult the CBSA guide to travel documents if you are bringing children or are not a Canadian citizen. The airport's own site is yfcfredericton.ca, and its taxis and ground transportation page is the authority on who operates at the curb.
Winter on the river valley
Snow, freezing rain and blowing snow shape winter timetables here. We add buffer minutes to quoted drive times when a storm is forecast. If the airport or a highway closes, we will tell you the options: delay, reroute or reschedule. Dressing for the walk from the curb to the car is the one thing we cannot do for you.
Early departures and late returns at YFC
Small airports run on tight morning banks, and a Fredericton departure that connects through Toronto, Montréal or Ottawa often means leaving the house well before breakfast. Book the departure car for a time that gives you a calm margin at check-in and security, not the minimum. Work backwards from the flight: the drive of roughly 15 minutes from downtown, plus the time you want to spend at the terminal, plus a buffer for weather. Tell the booker the flight number and we will suggest a pickup time.
Late returns are the reverse problem. When the last flight in lands after dark, restaurants are closed, the curb is quiet and there is no bus, so a driver who is already waiting matters more than it would at a large hub. If your aircraft is delayed, the driver is told and the waiting period starts from touchdown. If you are staying in Oromocto, at the university or in a house outside the city, the all-in price for your address is shown before you book.
Travelling with a team? Split the party across vehicles by luggage rather than by seniority. A sedan for two people with golf bags is a worse fit than a SUV, and a Sprinter is cheaper than three sedans once a group reaches eight or nine.
Booking, payment and cancellation
Book on LimousineCanada.ca with the pickup address, destination, flight number and passenger count. The booker returns an all-in fare for the exact address. Cancellations are measured back from the scheduled pickup time. More than 72 hours' notice is free, 72 hours or less is 10%, 48 hours or less is 50%, and 24 hours or less or a no-show is 100%.
