Waterloo airport limo service for Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph
A Waterloo airport limo is the tidy answer to a small airport with a big catchment. Region of Waterloo International Airport, usually called YKF, serves Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph and the farmland and villages between them. Flights are fewer than at Pearson, which means the ground options are thinner too, and a car that is already waiting counts for more.
LimousineCanada.ca books the transfer online. You enter the flight number, the destination and the number of passengers, and the booker returns an all-in fare in Canadian dollars for that address. A chauffeur is assigned to your arrival, tracks the aircraft and meets you at the terminal.
This guide explains where YKF is, what the terminal offers, how the bus, taxi and rail options compare with a private car, and what a transfer costs to the places travellers actually go.
How does a Waterloo airport limo from YKF work?

Book online with your flight number and drop-off address. The chauffeur monitors the flight, so a delay moves the pickup rather than costing you extra. After landing you get a free wait, are met at the terminal, and ride to the address at the fare shown when you booked.
The pickup is attached to your flight, not to a clock time. If a WestJet or Air Canada service arrives forty minutes late, the chauffeur simply adjusts. You receive a message before landing that says where the car is parked.
On a domestic arrival you get 30 minutes of free waiting. On an international arrival, 60 minutes. A name-board greeting inside the terminal is available as an add-on at $100 to $150, and child seats cost nothing when asked for at booking. The fare shown is before tax, and tipping is yours to decide.
Where Region of Waterloo International Airport is
The airport's address is 1-4881 Fountain Street North, Breslau, Ontario, N0B 1M0, and its published GPS position is 43.4558 N, 80.3858 W. The airport describes itself as minutes from Highway 401 and about 45 minutes west of Toronto, and as roughly 20 minutes from Cambridge, Guelph, Kitchener and Waterloo.
Those drive times match what we see on the road. The terminal sits in the small community of Breslau, so the first leg of almost any trip is a short country run before you join the major roads.
The airport's website names Air Canada, Flair Airlines, Sunwing and WestJet as the carriers on its home page, with direct flights to major Canadian cities and seasonal sun destinations. Check your airline for the current schedule, because seasonal routes change.
The terminal puts every airline service on the main floor. Baggage carts, charging stations and Wi-Fi are free, and there is a pet relief station for service dogs. You can read the airport's own passenger information for the latest.
Getting from YKF to the Region: every option compared
Waterloo Region has more public transit than most airport towns its size, and one route runs to the terminal. Be honest about what suits you.

| Option | Typical cost | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grand River Transit Route 78 Fountain | Low transit fare | Longer, runs about every 30 minutes on weekdays | Solo travellers with light bags on a weekday |
| GRT Route 79 Breslau (on demand) | Low transit fare | Varies; book up to 2 days ahead in the GRT Flex app | Trips to or from Breslau and Kitchener Station |
| Licensed taxi | Metered, regionally licensed | About 20 minutes to the cities | Spontaneous arrivals with no booking |
| Rental car | Daily rate plus fuel | Your own pace | Travellers with several stops |
| Private car (LimousineCanada.ca) | $145–$175 sedan minimum | About 20 minutes to the cities | Fixed price, luggage, groups, early or late flights |
The cheaper options are real. If you land on a weekday afternoon with one bag and your hotel is near a bus route, transit is the economical answer. A private car wins when you arrive on a weekend or late evening, when the bus is not running, or when you are carrying equipment, family luggage or a presentation.
GRT buses, taxis and car rental at the terminal
The airport's transportation page lists two Grand River Transit routes. Route 78 Fountain runs about every 30 minutes between Sportsworld Station and YKF, Monday to Friday, in the morning, afternoon and late evening windows. Route 79 Breslau is on demand, runs on weekdays in similar windows and is booked through the GRT Flex app up to two days ahead. Its stops include Kitchener Train Station, Central Station and the Town of Breslau.
Taxis are licensed by the Region of Waterloo, and the page names four local companies. The airport page does not describe a ride-hailing pickup zone, so if you plan to use an app, confirm the pickup point in the app before you leave the terminal.
Avis and Enterprise operate counters in the Domestic Arrivals Building beside the Air Terminal Building, and reservations are required in advance. If you rent, remember that Toronto-bound drivers can meet 407 ETR tolls, which are billed separately.
Waterloo airport limo fares by destination
All fares below are in Canadian dollars before tax. Where a run is short, the minimum transfer applies. A sedan would have to travel about 31 km before the distance rate overtakes the $145 minimum.

| Destination | Distance and time | Sedan | Luxury SUV | Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cambridge | 13.7 km / 17 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Waterloo | 14.6 km / 19 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Guelph | 19.7 km / 20 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Elora | 30.8 km / 33 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Stratford | 52 km / 46 min | $240–$290 | $305–$365 | $430–$515 |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | 84.2 km / 56 min | $390–$465 | $495–$595 | $695–$835 |
| Downtown Toronto | 99.4 km / about 1 hr 20 min | $460–$550 | $580–$700 | $820–$985 |
Distances come from consistent road-mapping sources and the airport's own drive-time statement. The booker uses your exact address and gives the exact all-in fare, which is what you pay. See the limo rates page for the whole rate card, including hourly vehicles.
YKF to Toronto Pearson and Union Station
Some travellers choose YKF because they live in the Region, then need to reach Pearson for an international departure. The 84.2 km run to Pearson takes about 56 minutes in free-flowing conditions, and we build in buffer for Highway 401 congestion. Our Pearson airport limo page explains the terminal curbs and timings at the other end.
If you are going to the city centre, the run to Toronto is 99.4 km and about an hour and twenty minutes. That is a good moment to compare with the train. GO Transit and VIA Rail both serve Kitchener Rail Station at 126 Weber Street West, which the airport lists on its transportation page, and trains arrive at Union Station.
A train is cheaper for a solo traveller and avoids highway congestion. A car is better when you have luggage, when your departure is before the first train, or when the group would otherwise need to transfer twice.
Corporate arrivals, campuses and technology visits
Waterloo Region is known for its universities, research institutes and technology employers, and that produces a steady flow of visitors who arrive at YKF and need to be in a boardroom or lecture hall within the hour. A pre-booked sedan avoids the uncertainty of taxi availability after a late flight.

Corporate clients can reserve return trips together, so the same chauffeur who meets the inbound flight can be arranged for the evening return. Hourly bookings suit roadshow days with several stops across Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. The minimum for an Executive Sedan is two hours at $135 to $165 per hour.
Teams of ten or more can book an Executive Sprinter, which seats twelve to fourteen passengers with luggage. Visit corporate car service for account billing and invoicing options.
Stratford, Elora and a day out from Waterloo Region
Two leisure runs account for many weekend bookings. Elora is 30.8 km and about 33 minutes from the terminal, and it is priced at the sedan minimum. Stratford is 52 km and about 46 minutes, so a sedan transfer is $240 to $290.
For theatre evenings, book a return with a waiting window rather than two single transfers. Our guide to the Stratford Festival covers dinner timing and curtain times, and you can combine it with an arrival at YKF.
Guelph, at 19.7 km and about 20 minutes, is another popular stop for visitors to the university and downtown shopping. If you want a longer loop through all three, an hourly booking with a stretch limousine at $225 to $300 per hour, three-hour minimum, covers a wedding or celebration party.
Weddings and events around Waterloo Region
Wedding parties often fly into YKF because the cities and country venues are within a short drive. A Sprinter at $295 to $355 minimum can move the wedding party and luggage from the airport to a venue in one trip, while a Luxury SUV suits the couple and immediate family.
For ceremonies, a stretch limousine takes eight to ten passengers. Three-hour minimum applies, at $225 to $300 per hour. See wedding limo for timelines, photographs and guest shuttles.
If you plan a larger event, a mini-coach seats twenty to thirty passengers at $300 to $420 per hour with a four-hour minimum. Tell us your start time and the venue so we can match vehicles to the schedule.
Private aircraft at Breslau
YKF also receives business and private aircraft. If you are flying privately, the arrival process differs because you will be met at an FBO apron or lounge instead of the main terminal. Our separate Waterloo private aviation page explains how we coordinate with FBO staff.
Give us the aircraft registration and the FBO name when you book, and we will track the flight on that basis. A chauffeur can meet you at the FBO door, subject to the FBO's own access and security rules.
Choosing a vehicle and handling luggage
The sedan fits three passengers with two large bags and two carry-ons. The Luxury SUV carries six passengers and five or six large bags. The Executive Sprinter fits twelve to fourteen passengers and twelve or more bags.
Families flying home after a sun holiday should size up, because winter coats and resort purchases fill a trunk quickly. A single large hard-shell case and a golf bag can strain a sedan.
Child seats are free if you request them when you book. Provide the child's age and weight so the right seat is fitted. The fleet page lists the full line-up.
Flight tracking, free wait and meeting you at the terminal
We track the flight, not the schedule. Early arrival, delay or gate change all update the pickup automatically. If you have international connections, the 60-minute free wait covers customs and baggage.
After the included minutes, waiting is billed under the rate card. The chauffeur will tell you before it starts, and you can extend the booking for a late customs queue.
Because YKF is compact, most passengers walk from baggage claim to the car in a few minutes. For groups, a chauffeur with a name board is a useful extra. Book it at $100 to $150 and the chauffeur will be inside the hall.
Booking in advance and cancelling
Book as soon as your flight is confirmed. The cancellation terms run from the scheduled pickup time: no charge with more than 72 hours' notice, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or on a no-show.
If your plans change, tell us the new flight and we will move the pickup. For bookings that cross the 407 ETR, tolls are billed in addition to the fare.

Can I book for a group of twelve?
