A Vancouver YVR FBO limo is a chauffeured car arranged around a private aircraft landing at one of the fixed base operators on Sea Island, the island in Richmond that carries Vancouver International Airport. The business-aviation operators sit along the airport's south side, away from the main terminal and its arrivals doors, so a car booked for "the airport" and a car booked for "your FBO" are not the same job. LimousineCanada.ca books the second one: operator, tail number, ETA and a chauffeur who knows which gate and which door.
This guide covers the Vancouver FBOs we verified, fares from the south side of the airfield to downtown Vancouver, Coal Harbour and Whistler, how the border step works for aircraft arriving from the United States, and when a seaplane transfer from the harbour beats a drive. All fares are Canadian-dollar ranges before tax, with kilometres and drive time beside each trip. The online booker gives the exact all-in price for your address.
Where will the car meet you at a Vancouver YVR FBO?
At Vancouver, the car meets you at the door or gate of your operator, not at the main terminal. Signature is at 4360 Agar Drive and Skyservice at 5360 Airport Road South, both in Richmond on the airport's south side. Give us the operator, tail number and ETA when you book, and we confirm the handover procedure with the FBO.
Sea Island has more than one place where private aircraft park, and the roads around the south side are not obvious to a driver who has only ever collected passengers from the terminal. Giving us the operator's name, the tail number and your estimated arrival time lets us send the chauffeur to the right building and agree on who greets whom. If your flight department booked the aircraft, ask which FBO is handling you; the answer is often on the trip sheet.
Business-aviation operators at Vancouver International Airport
These are the operators we confirmed from their own websites. As elsewhere, check hours and services directly with the operator before you travel.
| Operator | Address | What the operator's site says |
|---|---|---|
| Signature Vancouver | 4360 Agar Drive, Richmond | Open 24 hours; private conference room, ground handling, Jet A, on-site catering; 24-hour surveillance of aircraft |
| Execaire Aviation | 4360 Agar Drive, Richmond | Lists its Vancouver base alongside Signature at the same address |
| Skyservice Vancouver | 5360 Airport Road South, Richmond | Operates around the clock; CANPASS customs clearing; client lounge; hangars on site |
| Skyservice South Hangar | 4580 Cowley Crescent, Richmond | Hangar facility rather than the passenger terminal |
Read the operators' own descriptions at Signature Vancouver and the Execaire FBO locations page. Signature's page also notes that departures between 12:01 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. local time need noise-abatement approval from the airport authority, which is worth knowing if you are planning an early-morning departure and need the car to match it.
Other operators are active at the airport as well, and charter brokers list names we could not confirm from the operators' sites. If your aircraft is handled by an operator not shown above, send us its name and address in the booking notes and we will confirm the details before the day.

From the Vancouver FBO to downtown Vancouver
Downtown Vancouver is about 16 km from the south-side FBOs by road, normally 25 to 45 minutes depending on the Oak Street and Granville Street bridges and the time of day. Hotels such as those around Coal Harbour, the Financial District, Gastown and the West End all sit within the same fare band.
The run falls under the minimum transfer, so the sedan fare is the minimum: $145-$175. A Luxury SUV is $180-$220, and an Executive Sprinter is $295-$355. For a general city booking, our Vancouver limo page covers hourly service, and our Vancouver airport limo page explains commercial-terminal pickups for any of your party arriving on an airline.
Fares from YVR's south-side FBOs
Ranges below are built from the published rate card, with the minimum transfer applied on shorter runs and figures rounded to the nearest $5.

| Destination | Distance and drive time | Sedan | SUV | Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Downtown Vancouver | About 16 km, 25-45 min | $145-$175 | $180-$220 | $295-$355 |
| Coal Harbour / Canada Place | About 17 km, 25-50 min | $145-$175 | $180-$220 | $295-$355 |
| Whistler Village | About 135 km, 1 hr 55 min-2 hr 40 min | $630-$750 | $790-$955 | $1,120-$1,335 |
Coal Harbour, Canada Place and the seaplane terminal
Coal Harbour is the waterfront district where cruise ships, convention events, seaplanes and luxury hotels all converge. Canada Place is about 17 km from the south-side FBOs, and the traffic into the peninsula is the main variable.

The Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre, used by Harbour Air, is at Unit 1, Burrard Landing, 1055 Canada Place, steps from the cruise terminal and the convention centre. Harbour Air's own page lists scheduled flights, charters, scenic tours and car services from this terminal. If your itinerary includes a seaplane to Victoria's Inner Harbour (see our Victoria airport limo page for the other end) or a seasonal flight to Whistler, we can take you there from the FBO. For passengers heading to a ship, our Canada Place cruise-terminal car service page covers that transfer in detail.
Whistler by road: Highway 99 from Sea Island
Whistler is where many Vancouver FBO passengers are going, particularly in ski season. Tourism Whistler gives the distance from Vancouver as about 120 km and a drive of around one hour and 40 minutes in clear conditions. From the south side of Sea Island, add the extra distance across Vancouver to Highway 99; we use about 135 km and a typical time of two hours, with a more conservative figure for winter weekends.
The Sea to Sky Highway climbs through Squamish and runs along Howe Sound. It is a scenic road, and also one where weather changes quickly and where a single incident can close a lane. BC's winter tire rules cover Highway 99 from 1 October to 30 April, which means the season has already started as of early October. Heavy snow, holiday Fridays and Sunday evenings are the times that stretch the journey.
An SUV carries six passengers with five or six large bags, which is the best combination for most ski parties. A group with full ski bags should book the Sprinter. If skis, snowboards and boots are in the baggage count, tell us in the booking notes so the right vehicle is sent.

Floatplane or road to Whistler?
Harbour Air operates seasonal scheduled flights between downtown Vancouver and Whistler, landing at a terminal on Green Lake about 3 km north of Whistler Village; the airline's page said the route returned for the 2026 season on 15 May. Because the service is seasonal and the page does not show times, check Harbour Air's current schedule before planning around it.
The seaplane saves time when the weather is clear, but it adds a transfer at each end and a baggage limit that is much tighter than a car's. Road transfer costs more in dollars and less in logistics: one vehicle, one driver, and your bags moved once. For a small party travelling light on a sunny day, the seaplane can be a pleasure. For a family with ski bags, or any day when low cloud is forecast, the road is the safer plan.
Customs and CANPASS on arrival at Vancouver
For aircraft arriving in British Columbia from the United States or overseas, the border step comes first. The CBSA's general-aviation process requires the pilot to call the Telephone Reporting Centre at least two hours, but no more than 48 hours, before entering Canada; the aircraft lands at an approved airport of entry during CBSA operating hours; the pilot calls again on landing; and nobody leaves the aircraft until authorized. Aircraft with more than 15 people aboard must arrange clearance in advance with the local CBSA office. You can read the process at the CBSA general-aviation page.

Skyservice's Vancouver listing mentions CANPASS clearing among its services. Signature's page does not mention customs, so ask your flight department which arrangement applies to your aircraft. Either way, the chauffeur waits at the FBO until you are released, and our included waiting time starts at landing: 60 minutes for an international arrival and 30 for a domestic one.
FBO limo, Canada Line, taxi or rideshare: which one makes sense?
YVR's own transit page describes the Canada Line as reaching downtown Vancouver in under 30 minutes from the terminal, which is a strong option for commercial passengers. Business-aviation passengers start further away, on the south side, so the comparison changes.

| Option | Typical cost | Time to downtown | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chauffeured sedan from the FBO | $145-$175 | 25-45 min | Executives, small groups, anyone with luggage |
| Canada Line from the main terminal | Low fixed fare | Under 30 min on the train, plus the trip to the terminal | Light-luggage travellers who are already at the terminal |
| Taxi | Metered | 25-45 min | One traveller with one bag |
| Rideshare | App price, varies | 25-45 min | Short notice, but may not collect from the aircraft |
| Hotel shuttle | Often free | Varies | Hotels near the airport |
| Harbour Air seaplane (Vancouver Harbour) | Higher fare | Routes depend on the schedule | Travellers heading to Victoria or, in season, Whistler |
If you are travelling light and the hotel is close to the airport, a shuttle or taxi may be all you need. A chauffeured car earns its fare on the longer runs, with groups, or when the destination is a mountain resort.
Choosing the right vehicle at YVR
This page is part of our wider private aviation coverage. The Executive Sedan takes three passengers, two large bags and two carry-ons. The Luxury SUV takes six passengers and five or six large bags. The Executive Sprinter takes 12 to 14 passengers and 12 or more bags, which suits crews and ski groups. Child seats are free if you ask at booking. Compare vehicles on our fleet page, or review hourly rates on limo rates for a day of meetings.
Hourly service for a Vancouver day
If your schedule includes several stops (a meeting downtown, a lunch on the water, a late-afternoon site visit), an hourly booking can be better value than separate transfers. The Luxury SUV is $175-$210 an hour with a two-hour minimum, and the Sprinter is $240-$295 an hour with a three-hour minimum. The chauffeur waits between stops, and the meter runs by the hour rather than by the kilometre.
Departing from Vancouver
For a departure from Sea Island, the chauffeur picks you up at your hotel or office with a buffer for the bridges, drives to the FBO, and delivers you to the lounge or the aircraft as the operator allows. Tell us the operator and tail number so the chauffeur can be on the access list. If your departure is between midnight and 7 a.m., remember the airport's noise-abatement approval requirement mentioned above.
Frequently asked questions
Which FBOs are at Vancouver International Airport?
Operators we confirmed from their own sites include Signature Vancouver at 4360 Agar Drive and Skyservice at 5360 Airport Road South, both in Richmond. Execaire lists its Vancouver base at the Signature address. Give us the operator name when you book.
How much is a limo from a Vancouver FBO to downtown?
An Executive Sedan is $145-$175, a Luxury SUV is $180-$220 and an Executive Sprinter is $295-$355 for a run of about 16 km. Prices are before tax, tolls and gratuity, and the booker gives the exact all-in fare.
How far is Whistler from the Vancouver FBOs?
Tourism Whistler puts Whistler about 120 km from Vancouver, roughly 1 hour 40 minutes in clear conditions. From the south side of Sea Island we use about 135 km and two hours, longer in winter. A sedan is $630-$750, an SUV $790-$955 and a Sprinter $1,120-$1,335.
Can a chauffeur meet me at the aircraft?
That depends on the FBO and airport security. Some operators permit a pre-arranged vehicle at the aircraft, while others ask the car to wait at the gate or lounge. We confirm the procedure with the FBO in advance.
Does the aircraft clear customs before I get in the car?
When you fly in from outside Canada, yes. The pilot phones the CBSA, and nobody steps off until formalities are done. The chauffeur then takes you from the FBO; the 60-minute free wait on international arrivals runs from landing.
Can you take me to the seaplane terminal at Coal Harbour?
Yes. The Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre is at 1055 Canada Place, about 17 km from the south-side FBOs. A sedan is $145-$175 and an SUV $180-$220.
Should I take the seaplane or drive to Whistler?
The seaplane is seasonal and weather dependent, with strict baggage limits. The road trip takes about two hours and carries ski bags, children and luggage in one vehicle. For small parties travelling light in clear weather, the seaplane works; for families and gear, drive.
Is an early-morning departure from Vancouver a problem?
Signature's site says departures between 12:01 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. local time need noise-abatement approval from the airport authority. Your flight department arranges that; we schedule the car to match the approved time.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancelling more than 72 hours ahead costs nothing. At 72 hours or less you pay 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less (or if nobody shows) 100%, counted back from the scheduled pickup time.
