Edmonton airport FBO limo: from the ramp to the back seat
Edmonton International Airport lies south of the city in Leduc County, on the open prairie beside the Queen Elizabeth II Highway. Business aircraft do not use the commercial terminal door. They use FBOs on the airfield's service roads, a short drive from the main terminal and with their own entrances, their own lounges and their own staff. That has a direct effect on ground transport: an Edmonton airport FBO limo cannot simply be directed to the public curb, and a driver who waits at the wrong building will keep you waiting.
LimousineCanada.ca books a chauffeur against your aircraft and your FBO. We track the flight, stage the car at the groundside entrance the FBO uses, and take you to downtown Edmonton, the university, the West Edmonton Mall area, an industrial site in Nisku, or a day's drive toward the mountains. Fares are published as ranges before you commit, and the online booker gives the exact all-in price for your address.
Which FBO will meet my aircraft at Edmonton International Airport?

Edmonton International Airport has more than one FBO. Two publish their details on their own sites: EFC Aviation at 3684, 53 Avenue East, and YEG FBO Services (Shell AeroCentre) at 3795 and 3664, 56 Avenue East. Your charter company or flight department knows which one is handling you, and we match the car to it.
The rule that prevents most wrong-door pickups is to ask your operator for the FBO name and building. Then tell us the same name when you book. The addresses below are those the operators publish themselves, and they are in the airport's industrial service area, not on the public terminal road.
EFC Aviation at Terminal 1
EFC Aviation lists its Edmonton FBO at 3684, 53 Avenue East on its own site. The page gives weekday hours from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends, with ramp staff available around the clock. Its listed services include ground handling, an executive lounge and a separate pilot lounge, catering, accommodation arrangements, car rentals, limousines, crew courtesy transportation and industrial charters. The operator also says it has the largest secure heated hangar facilities of any FBO at the airport.
The mention of limousines in the services list is a useful reminder: the FBO can arrange vehicles for you. Our job is to be the one you chose in advance, at a fare you saw, with a vehicle size you picked.
YEG FBO Services and the Shell AeroCentre
YEG FBO Services Inc., which operates under the Shell AeroCentre brand, describes itself on yegfboservices.com as providing aircraft and passenger services since 1979. It lists two locations: Terminal 1, Shell AeroCentre 1, at 3795, 56 Avenue East, which it describes as a discreet facility with concierge coordination and crew lounge access; and Terminal 2, Shell AeroCentre 2, at 3664, 56 Avenue East, with a spacious passenger lounge and charter programs. It also lists fly-in, fly-out logistics for oil and gas, mining and industrial rotation operators, and military support with cleared personnel around the clock.

If your pilot says Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, ask which operator. The two operators each use that language, and they are different buildings.
The airport, the highway and the hotels
The airport's mailing address is 1, 1000 Airport Road, Edmonton, Alberta T9E 0V3, according to flyyeg.com. The airport also lists the Fairfield by Marriott and the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel on airport property. Those matter for private travellers when weather delays a departure or a flight crew needs overnight rest, and because they are on airport property they are never far from the airfield.
Public arrivals have their own arrangements: the airport directs taxis and limousines to a curbside zone on the Arrivals level and rideshare to a separate door. Those are for the commercial terminal. When you fly privately, the pickup is at the FBO.
Edmonton airport FBO car service fares
Distances are approximate road distances from the airport service area, and the booker gives the exact all-in fare for your address. The first rows fall under our minimum transfer.

Taxes are extra. Gratuity is yours to decide. For a long run such as Jasper, an hourly booking can be better value when the chauffeur stays with you, so check both on the rate card.
Downtown, the Ice District and the Legislature
Most executive arrivals are headed downtown, to the arena district, the government precinct or a hotel in the core. The drive up the highway takes about half an hour outside rush hour, and it is the one stretch where an accident can double the time. We track the traffic with the flight, so the car is staged correctly. The Edmonton limo page lists city services, including events and weddings, and the Edmonton airport limo page covers commercial arrivals if part of your party flies scheduled.
For festival weeks, the Edmonton Fringe guide explains how to time arrivals around closures.
Fly-in, fly-out crews and industrial charters
A distinct part of Edmonton's private aviation market is workforce travel for resource projects. Both operators describe industrial or rotation services on their own sites. For crews, the ground leg is often a bus, but supervisors, visiting executives and owners fly the same routes and want a different vehicle. A Luxury SUV or Sprinter between the FBO and an industrial site, a camp accommodation hotel or a downtown boardroom is a common request. We take the same details as any private booking, and add the site's gate and safety requirements so the chauffeur arrives prepared.

Ground options compared at Edmonton
This comparison is for people landing at an FBO, not at the public terminal.
| Option | Typical cost | Typical time to downtown | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Airport taxi or limousine from the public terminal | Flat rates published by the airport, lower than our minimum | About 30–35 min plus the trip to the terminal | A solo traveller willing to be driven to the main terminal first |
| Route 747 bus to Century Park, then LRT | A transit fare | About an hour in total | Light luggage and no deadline |
| Rental car from the FBO | Daily rate plus fuel and parking | About 30–35 min | Multi-day visits with several stops |
| Private car with LimousineCanada.ca | $145–$220 for downtown | About 30–35 min | Groups, luggage, tight schedules, vehicle choice |
If you are alone, you have time, and your aircraft is at the terminal rather than an FBO, the transit and taxi options are cheaper and perfectly good. A booked car earns its fare on tight schedules, luggage and larger parties. See limo versus rideshare for the differences between the categories.
Winter at the prairie airport
Edmonton winters are cold enough to change how a trip works. Hard frost, blowing snow across the highway and early darkness are normal, and a car that is warmed and waiting is part of the service. Ramp operations and de-icing are the FBO's responsibility, but we adjust the pickup to your actual landing time, and for a delayed arrival we simply move the car. A chauffeur will help with bags between the FBO door and the vehicle.
Day trips toward the mountains and the parks
Edmonton is the gateway to a lot of landscape. Elk Island National Park is a short drive east, and Jasper lies four hours west via the foothills. Our Edmonton to Jasper route page compares the bus, rental and private-car options. If your aircraft is returning to Calgary or Banff country afterwards, the Calgary FBO page lists the equivalent services in the south.
Vehicles, bags and child seats
A sedan suits three passengers, and two large bags plus two carry-ons is its limit. The Luxury SUV carries six with five or six large bags, which suits a delegation with samples or winter gear. The Executive Sprinter seats twelve to fourteen with twelve or more bags, which suits a project team arriving together. The fleet page shows each. Child seats are free; ask for one when you book.
Reading the FBO hours before you plan the car
EFC Aviation publishes shorter hours at the weekend: its page lists 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays and 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Fridays, against 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday. It also states that ramp staff are available at all hours by phone. YEG FBO Services describes its military support as staffed around the clock, and the page does not list general hours for passenger service. We read this as a prompt to ask early. If you plan a Sunday-morning arrival or a late-evening departure, confirm with the FBO that the lounge and the vehicle gate will be open, and tell us the answer. A chauffeur who knows the gate will be staffed at 6:30 a.m. will not have to wait outside it.
Business around Edmonton, from Nisku to the Ice District
Edmonton's private traffic splits roughly into three streams. The first is the industrial corridor south and west of the airport, where businesses cluster around Nisku and Leduc and where meetings tend to take place in yards, plants and field offices. The second is the downtown and arena district, where executives meet clients, investors and government. The third is the university and health-sciences cluster on the south side of the river, which draws visiting researchers and clinicians. A single car can serve all three on one trip, but the sequence matters. We plan the order of stops so you cross the North Saskatchewan River once, not twice.
Gate access and site requirements
Industrial and energy sites often require a pre-registered vehicle, a named driver, and sometimes safety orientation before entry. Send us the site contact and the instructions at booking, not on the morning of travel. If a site requires hi-visibility vests or a specific entrance, we pass that to the chauffeur, who will confirm arrival at the gate. For sites that require longer waits at security, an hourly booking is more economical than a point-to-point fare with a waiting charge.
Booking an Edmonton FBO pickup
Send the operator name and building, the tail number, the scheduled landing or departure time, passenger and bag counts and the address you are going to. We confirm in writing, track the aircraft, and message you with the vehicle description as you land. The complimentary waiting window is 60 minutes after an international landing and 30 minutes after a domestic one. Hourly bookings start at $135–$165 for a sedan, with a two-hour minimum.
Frequently asked questions
Where do private jets park at Edmonton International Airport?
At FBOs on the airfield's service roads. EFC Aviation publishes 3684, 53 Avenue East, and YEG FBO Services publishes 3795 and 3664, 56 Avenue East. Your operator will confirm which one is handling your aircraft.
How much is a limo from the Edmonton FBO to downtown?
Downtown is about 30 km away and a 30 to 35 minute drive. Expect $145–$175 in a sedan, $180–$220 in a Luxury SUV and $295–$355 in an Executive Sprinter before tax.
Can the car meet me at the public arrivals door?
For a private flight, we stage at the FBO. The public terminal has its own taxi, limousine and rideshare zones, which are for airline passengers.
Does the FBO arrange ground transport?
EFC Aviation lists limousines and car rentals among its services. You can ask the FBO, or book with us in advance and arrive with the vehicle and fare confirmed.
How far is Jasper from Edmonton airport?
About 380 km, roughly four hours in good conditions. A sedan is typically $1,765–$2,110 one way, and an hourly booking may be better value for a long day.
What if my flight lands very late?
We track the aircraft and hold the car for the complimentary window. EFC's posted hours are shorter on weekends, so confirm after-hours handling with your FBO.
Do you serve industrial sites around Nisku and Leduc?
Yes. Both are within about 10 km of the airport and fall under the minimum transfer. Send the site's gate and safety requirements when you book.
Is a private car worth it from the Edmonton airport?
For a solo traveller with time, the transit and taxi options are cheaper. For groups, luggage, tight meetings and aircraft arriving at an FBO, a pre-booked car is more dependable.
