Waterloo airport FBO limo: the last twenty minutes of a private flight
The Region of Waterloo International Airport, usually written YKF, sits in Breslau at the edge of Woolwich Township. The Region's own airport page describes it as about ten minutes from Highway 401 and within a twenty-minute drive of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo. That position is why business aviation has grown here: a company flying into Waterloo Region lands close to the meeting instead of crossing the GTA from Pearson.
A Waterloo airport FBO limo from LimousineCanada.ca is a pre-arranged chauffeur who tracks the aircraft, meets you at the FBO, and drives you to the office park, the campus, the hotel, the farm, the festival or the next airport. This page explains what the operator and the airport themselves say about the field, what fares to expect, and when a car is the right answer and when it is not.
Why do private flights choose Waterloo instead of Pearson?

Waterloo puts you within about twenty minutes of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, with an FBO built for business aircraft and no airline crowds. Pearson is roughly 90 km away. A sedan from the Waterloo FBO to Kitchener is typically $145–$175, against $420–$500 to reach Pearson.
The reasons operators and passengers give are practical. The airport is not a hub, so the ramp is quiet. Chartright, the FBO operator, describes its facility as an alternative to Toronto and as access to clients outside the Greater Toronto Area. For a passenger, the benefit is time: wheels-down to the back seat of the car in the time it takes to walk across a lounge, and a short drive to a client site rather than a long one. The cost of that choice is that onward connections to the rest of Canada run through Toronto or other hubs, and the car is the link.
Chartright at Hangar 64: what the operator publishes
Chartright Air Group describes its Waterloo FBO on its own site at chartright.com. The page lists crew amenities, Canada Customs services, a departure lounge, and 100,000 square feet of hangar space with 150,000 square feet of ramp. It also notes a 24-hour customs sufferance warehouse on site, for goods waiting for clearance. The airport's own newsroom carries Chartright's announcement of the facility, which it calls Hangar 64, opened in May 2023, with a hangar designed to accommodate aircraft as large as a Boeing 767 and a lounge divided into a VIP area for private jet passengers and a seating area for corporate shuttle passengers.
We are not affiliated with Chartright. We do not speak for the FBO, and its services and hours are its own to confirm. What we can do is plan the car around the way the FBO is organised: the lounge for passengers, the hangar for aircraft, and the groundside approach where vehicles wait.
The airport: address, airlines and the 401
The airport lists its address as 1-4881 Fountain Street North, Breslau, Ontario N0B 1M0, and names Flair Airlines, Sunwing, WestJet and Air Canada as its airline partners on waterlooairport.ca. It highlights non-stop WestJet service to Calgary. It also mentions Great Lakes Helicopter breaking ground on a new hangar expansion. The Region describes general aviation services at the field and a flight school, the Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre, on its airport page.

None of that changes your private arrival, but it explains the context. The commercial terminal and the executive FBO share an airfield, not a front door. If you are travelling on a scheduled flight, see our guidance for commercial arrivals; this page is for private and charter passengers.
Customs at the Waterloo FBO
Chartright states that Canada Customs services are available at its facility. Because arrangements depend on aircraft, passenger count and origin, your operator books the clearance and your passengers follow the usual process. We track the flight and hold the vehicle: 60 minutes of complimentary waiting after an international landing, 30 minutes after a domestic one. If clearance runs long, the wait is on us, not on you, inside that window.

Technology, university and corporate visits
Waterloo Region is known for its technology employers and its universities, and a large share of private arrivals are executives, investors, recruiters and visiting faculty. These trips are typically short, with the last mile as the main need. A chauffeur can hold a car for a morning of back-to-back meetings at different campuses, with a pre-agreed return time to the FBO. Hourly pricing for an Executive Sedan is $135–$165 with a two-hour minimum, and for a Luxury SUV $175–$210 with a two-hour minimum. Corporate accounts, with consolidated invoicing and named chauffeurs, are described on the corporate car service page.
Stratford, Elora and the Perth County run
Weekends bring a different mix: couples and groups flying in for a stay at Elora, a day at the farmers' market or a performance at Stratford. Stratford is about 55 km from the airport, an easy hour, and a sedan is $255–$305 each way. Our Stratford Festival guide explains how to time dinner and curtain, and the Shaw Festival guide covers the Niagara equivalent if you are continuing east. For late shows, we recommend booking the return by the hour, so your chauffeur waits through the performance.

Waterloo ground options compared
Honest comparison matters because the nearest rail, bus and airport options are not interchangeable.
| Option | Typical cost | Typical time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Taxi or rideshare to Kitchener or Waterloo | Metered or app-priced; varies | About 20–25 min | A solo traveller with light bags and no fixed schedule |
| Rental car | Daily rate plus fuel and parking | Your own pace | Multi-day visits with flexible plans |
| Hotel or corporate shuttle | Often free or low cost, where offered | Scheduled | Conference groups with a block booking |
| Private car with LimousineCanada.ca | $145–$220 for most region addresses | About 20–30 min | Groups, luggage, tight meeting times, confirmed vehicle |
If your destination is a single office and you have a corporate shuttle, use the shuttle. A car is the better answer when the stops are many, the passengers are senior or numerous, or when your plane's arrival time moves and you need a driver who moves with it. See limo versus rideshare for the wider comparison.
Vehicles for Waterloo arrivals
The Executive Sedan carries three passengers with two large bags and two carry-ons, which fits a typical two-executive trip. The Luxury SUV carries six passengers with five or six large bags and is the right vehicle for a delegation and its demonstration equipment. The Executive Sprinter seats twelve to fourteen with twelve or more bags, suited to a conference group or a charter load arriving together. The fleet page shows each. Child seats are free when you ask for them at booking.
Connecting to Pearson, Toronto and the rest of Ontario
Private clients often use Waterloo for one leg and another airport for the next. A morning arrival at Waterloo and an evening departure from Pearson is a common pattern, and the 90 km connection is a clean point-to-point booking. Pearson is covered on the Toronto Pearson FBO page and the Pearson airport limo page, and the Billy Bishop option is covered on the YTZ FBO page.
If you need to reach Toronto's core, remember that the Waterloo-to-downtown run is a long one. Allow for traffic on Highway 401, which is among the busiest corridors in the province during commuter hours, and tell us your meeting time so we can set the departure accordingly.
Weather, winter and the 401 corridor
Winter in southwestern Ontario brings squalls off the Great Lakes that can reduce visibility on rural roads between Waterloo and the 401. Aircraft de-icing and ramp conditions are the operator's business, but the road outside is ours, and in snow we advise a wider buffer on both ends of the trip. If the flight is delayed, we move the pickup. If it is cancelled, tell us as early as you can and we will rebook against the new time.
Weddings, family arrivals and events
Not every Waterloo arrival is a corporate meeting. Families fly in for weddings in the region's countryside, for graduations and for reunions. A larger group is often best served by a Sprinter shuttling between the FBO, the hotel and the venue; see the wedding limo page for timelines, and ask us about stretch limousines, which carry eight to ten passengers at $225–$300 an hour with a three-hour minimum.
A same-day round trip: how the schedule really runs
Many Waterloo private flights are day trips: out of Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto or the United States in the morning, home by evening. The ground plan for a day like that is simple but unforgiving. The car is staged before the aircraft lands, the first meeting starts within the hour, and the return pickup is set against the aircraft's departure time, not against the end of the last meeting. We build the day backwards from wheels-up. A good rule is to be at the FBO 20 to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure, which leaves time to move bags, use the lounge and meet the crew without anyone watching the clock.
If your day involves several sites, say a morning at a campus in Waterloo, lunch in Cambridge and an afternoon in Guelph, we recommend an hourly booking rather than point-to-point transfers. The chauffeur keeps the car warm or cool, carries your bags, and knows the order of stops, which removes the small delays that eat a day.
Seasonal notes for the region
Spring and autumn are busy for graduations, conferences and harvest-season events in the countryside. Summer brings festival traffic toward Stratford and Elora, and winter brings squalls that arrive without much warning. In any season, tell us early if the plan includes a rural address. Farm roads and long driveways can add several minutes, and some venues restrict larger vehicles, so we confirm access before the day.
How to book a Waterloo airport pickup
Give us the tail number or flight identifier, the operator or charter company, your scheduled landing or departure time, passenger and bag counts, and the street address at the other end. We confirm the vehicle and chauffeur in writing and message you when the aircraft is on approach. The booker returns the exact all-in fare for the address you enter, so you can compare it with the table above.
For other executive fields, the private aviation hub links every page, and the airports index covers commercial terminals.
