A Union Station Toronto limo is a pre-booked chauffeur who tracks your train, parks where the building actually allows, and walks you and your bags to the car. Union Station at 65 Front Street West is the busiest rail hub in the country, and it is also one of the more awkward places in Toronto to be collected by a stranger in a hurry. This page explains how a Union Station car service really works at the kerb, what the common runs cost, and when a train or a free shuttle is the smarter choice.
Where does a Union Station Toronto limo actually meet you?
Your chauffeur meets you at Union Station on the Front Street side, near the main entrance between Bay and York Streets. Because kerb space around the station is shared with taxis and construction, the exact pick-up point is confirmed by message before you arrive. VIA passengers can also ask for a name-board meet inside the station.
Union Station sits between Bay and York Streets, directly across from the Royal York Hotel. VIA Rail's own station page gives the address as 65 Front Street West and lists the curbside assistance zone on the sidewalk at the main entrance on Front Street. That is the natural reference point for a car service too.
Here is the part most guides skip: the Front Street frontage has been under sidewalk and security works, and the City of Toronto's transportation page for the station places taxi and rideshare zones on Front Street towards York Street. Zones in a construction area move. A good chauffeur does not promise a doorstep that may be fenced off next week. Instead, the driver sends you a pin and a vehicle description the day before and again when your train is approaching, and you walk to the car.
If you would rather not hunt for a vehicle, add the name-board meet-and-greet ($100–$150): your chauffeur waits inside with a sign, takes the bags and escorts you to the car.
Union Station limo service at a glance
Prices below are before tax. Tolls such as the 407 ETR are extra and gratuity is at your discretion. Distances are approximate road kilometres from the station, and the online booker gives the exact all-in fare for your exact address.

| Trip from Union Station | Distance / drive time | Executive Sedan (3 pax) | Luxury SUV (6 pax) | Executive Sprinter (12–14 pax) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ) | 4 km / 10–15 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Yorkville and Bloor Street hotels | 4 km / 10–20 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | 27 km / 30–50 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Mississauga City Centre | 30 km / 35–55 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Vaughan (Vaughan Mills area) | 40 km / 45–65 min | $190–$225 | $235–$285 | $330–$400 |
| Niagara Falls | 130 km / 1 h 40 min–2 h 15 min | $610–$720 | $760–$915 | $1,075–$1,290 |
Short hops hit the minimum transfer ($145–$175 for a sedan, $180–$220 for an SUV, $295–$355 for a Sprinter). The kilometre rates only take over on longer runs.
How pick-up works for VIA Rail arrivals
VIA's Toronto station page does not name a single exit for arriving passengers, so we do not pretend there is one. What it does tell us is that the station is staffed, that the Great Hall is where VIA sends passengers who need assistance, and that the station is open from 05:30 to 00:45. Those details shape how we plan a pick-up.
- You give us your train number and scheduled arrival in the booking notes.
- The driver monitors the train's progress using VIA's own status information, so the car is timed to the real arrival rather than the timetable.
- When the train is about to dock, you get a message with the vehicle make, colour and the agreed meeting point.
- You collect your bags, walk up to the concourse and meet the driver, either at the kerb or at the name-board.
- The driver loads the car, confirms the address and heads off, leaving you free to take a call or simply sit back.
Because the pick-up is tied to the train rather than the clock, a late arrival does not leave a car idling at the kerb.

GO Transit and the Union Station Bus Terminal
Union Station is also the centre of GO Transit, and many of your fellow passengers will arrive by GO train or GO bus rather than VIA. The newer Union Station Bus Terminal is part of CIBC Square at 81 Bay Street, on the north-east corner of Bay Street and Lake Shore Boulevard. GO's station page says the customer pick-up and drop-off area is on level P1, with elevator access to the terminal. An indoor pedestrian bridge over Bay Street links the terminal to Scotiabank Arena, the PATH and Union Station.
If you arrive on a GO bus, the sensible meeting point is the sheltered P1 pick-up area rather than the Front Street kerb.
When you book, say which service you are on. "GO bus from Hamilton, arriving at the bus terminal" and "VIA 53 from Montreal" lead to two different meeting points, and the driver needs to know which.
Union Station to Pearson: limo, UP Express or taxi?
The Pearson run is the single most common reason to book a car from Union Station. The distance is about 27 km, and a Toronto Pearson airport limo from Union Station takes roughly 30 to 50 minutes depending on the Gardiner Expressway, the 427 and the hour of day. Our fare for the trip falls in the minimum band: $145–$175 for an Executive Sedan and $180–$220 for a Luxury SUV with room for five or six large bags.

The honest alternative is the Union Pearson Express. UP Express describes the trip as 28 minutes between Pearson and downtown, with brief stops at Bloor and Weston. The adult one-way fare listed on its fares page is $12.35, and children aged 12 and under travel free. The UP Express platform is at the far west end of Union Station inside the SkyWalk, reached from the 97 Front Street West entrance.
If you have one carry-on, you are travelling alone, and you are within a short walk of the UP Express platform, take the train. It is cheaper and predictable. A car earns its fare when you have heavy bags, children, mobility needs, an early or late flight outside your comfort zone, or a pick-up point that is nowhere near the SkyWalk.
For more detail on the airport end of the trip, see our Pearson airport limo page or the wider Toronto airport limo guide, which covers terminals, arrivals and wait times.
Billy Bishop airport car service from Union Station
Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is the shortest run on this page and the one where a car makes the least financial sense. The airport's own shuttle page lists a downtown stop on the west side of the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, at the north-east corner of Front and York Streets, across from Union Station. Shuttles normally run about every 15 minutes, a trip takes about 15 minutes, and the page carries no live service alert at the time of writing. The airport itself is at 2 Eireann Quay, reached through a pedestrian tunnel or a short ferry from the foot of Bathurst Street.

A chauffeured transfer makes sense for a very early departure, for travellers with a wheelchair, stroller or heavy luggage, or when you are arriving at Billy Bishop and heading somewhere other than Union Station. The fare is the transfer minimum, $145–$175 in a sedan, for a 10 to 15 minute drive.
Read our Billy Bishop airport limo page for tunnel, ferry and terminal logistics.
Union Station to Yorkville and downtown hotels
Yorkville, the Financial District, King West and the Entertainment District are all a short drive from Front Street. A chauffeur from Union Station to a Bloor Street hotel covers about 4 km in 10 to 20 minutes, and the price is the minimum transfer: $145–$175 in an Executive Sedan, $180–$220 in a Luxury SUV.

For many of these trips, a car is a convenience rather than a necessity. The TTC runs subway, streetcar and bus connections from within the station, and the City's own page lists them as part of the station. VIA's page confirms that a cab stand sits in front of the station and on nearby streets. If you are alone with a single bag and the hotel is on the subway line, the subway wins on price.
Where a car wins is hotel arrival: the chauffeur pulls up at the entrance and the bags go straight to the bellman. For a driver all day, switch to hourly: an Executive Sedan is $135–$165 per hour with a two-hour minimum, and a Luxury SUV is $175–$210 per hour.
See our Toronto limo page for city-wide service and the full limo rates card.
Union Station to Mississauga and Vaughan
A transfer from Union Station to Mississauga City Centre is about 30 km and typically takes 35 to 55 minutes, again within the sedan minimum of $145–$175 (SUV $180–$220). The run to the Vaughan Mills area is longer, about 40 km and 45 to 65 minutes, so the kilometre rate takes over: roughly $190–$225 for a sedan, $235–$285 for an SUV and $330–$400 for an Executive Sprinter. If the best route uses the 407 ETR, the toll is billed separately; if you prefer to avoid it, say so at booking and the quote reflects a slower route.
A group of ten or twelve colleagues coming off the same Montreal train is better served by the Executive Sprinter. For airport-bound legs, our airport limo page explains how the same booking works across Canada.
Union Station to Niagara Falls by chauffeur
Niagara Falls is about 130 km from Union Station, and the drive typically takes between one hour forty minutes and two hours fifteen minutes, depending on the QEW and the time of day. For visitors getting off a VIA train and wanting to reach the Falls or the wine country the same afternoon, a private car removes the transfers and the waiting.
Expect about $610–$720 in an Executive Sedan, $760–$915 in a Luxury SUV and $1,075–$1,290 in an Executive Sprinter for the one-way run. If you want to stop for lunch, a winery or a lookout, an hourly booking can make better sense: a Luxury SUV is $175–$210 per hour with a two-hour minimum, and a Sprinter is $240–$295 per hour with a three-hour minimum. The online booker will show both.

Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena event nights
Union Station is the natural gateway to the sports and concert district. Scotiabank Arena is at 40 Bay Street, on the north-west corner of Lake Shore Boulevard West and Bay Street, and the GO bus terminal's bridge over Bay Street connects the arena to Union Station and the PATH. Rogers Centre is a short walk from the station as well.
On game and concert nights the roads close to the station are slow, surrounding drop-off areas fill up and rideshare pick-up pins become unreliable. If you are booking a car for event night, here is how to make it work:
- Choose a pick-up point a few streets away from the arena crowds, such as a hotel entrance, and let the driver confirm the best option on the day.
- Add 20 to 30 minutes to your normal buffer, especially at the end of the event.
- For groups of 8 to 10, a stretch limousine runs $225–$300 per hour with a three-hour minimum; a mini-coach for 20 to 30 is $300–$420 per hour with a four-hour minimum.
Union Station car service compared with the alternatives
| Option | Typical cost | Time to Pearson | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| UP Express train | $12.35 adult, children 12 and under free | About 28 min | Solo travellers with light luggage |
| TTC subway or streetcar | About $3.30 per adult ride with PRESTO | Varies by route | Short downtown trips, no heavy bags |
| Taxi from the Front Street cab stand | Metered fare, varies with traffic | 30–50 min | Spontaneous trips with no booking |
| Rideshare | App fare varies with demand | 30–50 min | Flexible trips; pick-up spot can change |
| Private chauffeur car | $145–$175 sedan, $180–$220 SUV to Pearson | 30–50 min | Heavy luggage, families, groups, fixed pick-up time |
The cheaper options are the right answer in plenty of cases. Where a private car pays for itself is predictability: one fixed price quoted in advance, a driver who knows your train, and a vehicle sized to your party rather than to whatever is at the kerb.
Luggage, child seats and accessibility
An Executive Sedan takes three passengers with two large bags and two carry-ons. A Luxury SUV takes six passengers with five to six large bags, and an Executive Sprinter carries 12 to 14 with room for 12 or more bags. Count your bags honestly when you book.
Child seats are provided free if you request them at booking. Tell us the child's age and weight so the correct seat is fitted before you arrive.
VIA's station page describes a wheelchair-accessible entrance and platform, an elevator, a courtesy wheelchair for boarding and a baggage checkroom. If you need assistance on the platform, VIA asks you to request curbside help at least 48 hours ahead and to report to the Great Hall at least 30 minutes before departure. Let us know about any mobility needs and the driver will plan the meeting point and car accordingly.
How to book your Union Station chauffeur
Booking takes a few minutes on the site's own booker at LimousineCanada.ca/book. Enter the pick-up (Union Station, 65 Front Street West, or the GO Bus Terminal at 81 Bay Street), your drop-off address, the date and your train number, and the booker returns the exact all-in fare for that route. You are booking directly with us, not through an aggregator.
Included with every ride are train and flight monitoring, free child seats on request and a professional chauffeur. A name-board meet-and-greet inside the station is an optional $100–$150 add-on. The same process works at Montreal's Central Station, at Ottawa's train station and across our full list of train stations.
For a view of everything the site offers, start from the LimousineCanada.ca home page or browse the fleet.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my chauffeur at Union Station Toronto?
Most pick-ups are at the Front Street kerb near the main entrance, or inside the station if you booked a name-board meet. Your driver sends the exact spot by message before you arrive, because taxi zones and construction around the station change. If you arrive on a GO bus, the meeting point is usually the P1 pick-up area at the bus terminal on Bay Street.
How much is a limo from Union Station to Pearson airport?
A Union Station to Pearson transfer is about 27 km and falls in the minimum band: $145–$175 for an Executive Sedan, $180–$220 for a Luxury SUV and $295–$355 for an Executive Sprinter, before tax. The online booker gives the exact all-in price. UP Express costs $12.35 per adult, so the car is a convenience choice rather than a cost-saving one.
Is UP Express cheaper than a car from Union Station?
Yes. UP Express lists a one-way adult fare of $12.35 and describes the ride as about 28 minutes. If you are travelling light and can walk to the platform at the west end of the station, it is the better value. A private car makes sense with heavy bags, children, mobility needs or a group.
Can I book a Union Station limo for a GO bus arrival?
Yes. Tell us it is a GO bus arrival and give the bus time and origin. The Union Station Bus Terminal is at 81 Bay Street in CIBC Square, and the customer pick-up and drop-off area is on level P1, so we plan the meeting there instead of on Front Street.
Do you track VIA Rail trains for pick-ups?
Add your train number in the booking notes and your driver times the pick-up to the train's real progress rather than the printed schedule. If the train is late, the car adjusts. If you have a connecting commitment, mention it so the driver can plan the fastest route.
What is the cheapest way from Union Station to Billy Bishop airport?
The airport's own shuttle between Billy Bishop and the Royal York stop at Front and York Streets takes about 15 minutes and is the lowest-cost option. A chauffeur car costs the transfer minimum, $145–$175 in a sedan, so book one only if you need door-to-door service, have heavy luggage or want a fixed pick-up time.
Can you drive from Union Station to Niagara Falls?
Yes. The run is about 130 km and takes roughly one hour forty minutes to two hours fifteen minutes. Expect about $610–$720 in an Executive Sedan or $760–$915 in a Luxury SUV one way, before tax. Hourly bookings are available if you want to stop along the way.
