How much does a limo cost in Edmonton?

A sedan from Edmonton International to downtown is $145 to $175 before tax, a Luxury SUV $180 to $220 and an Executive Sprinter $295 to $355. The airport is about 30 km south of downtown, so the minimum transfer applies. Hourly sedans start at $135 per hour.

Limo Edmonton pricing is distance-based with a minimum, and Edmonton International sits well outside the city. The airport's own directions page puts it 30 km south of downtown along Highway 2, reached by Exit 522 onto Airport Road, with a typical drive of about 30 minutes. At 30 km the sedan minimum still applies, and only trips to the west side of the city, where the distance stretches towards 35 km and beyond, climb a little above it.

Edmonton limo service: vehicles and hourly rates

Pick the vehicle for the load. The Executive Sedan seats three with two large bags and two carry-ons. The Luxury SUV seats six with five or six large bags, which is the right fit for a family flying in from a hunting or ski trip. The Executive Sprinter seats 12 to 14 with 12 or more bags, and it is the usual choice for crews, delegations and wedding parties.

For hourly work, a sedan is $135 to $165 per hour on a two-hour minimum, an SUV $175 to $210 on two hours and a Sprinter $240 to $295 on three hours. A stretch limousine for 8 to 10 is $225 to $300 per hour on a three-hour minimum, and a mini-coach or party bus for 20 to 30 is $300 to $420 per hour on four hours. The fleet page lists seating and luggage for each class.

Edmonton International (YEG) pickups

According to the airport's ground transportation page, taxis and limousines load at the curb outside Door 9 on the Arrivals level, rideshare pickup is outside Door 10, and the 747 bus leaves from Door 8. The same page says commercial vehicles with prior arrangements may use the commercial taxi area. Your booking confirmation will give the pickup position for your flight, so you do not have to work it out in the terminal.

Flight tracking is included. We allow 60 minutes of free wait after landing on international arrivals and 30 minutes on domestic arrivals. If you want a name board waiting inside the arrivals hall, it is an add-on at $100 to $150. If your flight is early or late, the pickup moves with it. The Edmonton airport limo page has the airport-specific detail, and private aviation at Edmonton covers charter arrivals.

Airport to downtown: how the options compare

The airport is far enough from downtown that your choice matters. Here is a fair comparison for the 30 km trip.

Pre-booked sedan$145–$175About 30 minutesFixed price, tracked flight
Pre-booked SUV or Sprinter$180–$220 / $295–$355About 30 minutesFamilies, teams, luggage

The Route 747 is an express contracted by the City of Edmonton between the airport and Century Park Transit Centre. The airport lists a $6 fare while the City's schedule sheet shows $5, so check the current fare before you ride. The $62 taxi and $71 limousine downtown flat rates are posted by the airport, and they are lower than our minimum. We say that plainly: if you are travelling alone and want the cheapest door-to-door option, the posted flat rates will be less. A pre-booked car earns its fee when you want a fixed fare, a vehicle matched to your party, a named driver tracking your flight, a child seat or a confirmed 5 a.m. pickup.

Rideshare drivers in Alberta must hold commercial insurance and a Class 4 licence, the airport says, and rideshare vehicles cannot be hailed in person or use the taxi stands. For a fuller comparison see limo vs rideshare.

Rogers Place, Ice District and arena nights

Rogers Place is at 10220 104 Avenue NW in the Ice District. The arena's getting-to page designates a limousine drop-off and pickup area north of the building, reservations required in advance, and an LRT entrance on the north side. Its event list shows the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship running from December 26, 2026 to January 5, 2027, and the arena hosts Oilers games, concerts, the Canadian Finals Rodeo and fights through the year.

That reservation requirement is a good reason to book early. We make the arena arrangement for you, share the booking details with you and plan a return time rather than a loose "after the game". For a party of four to six, an SUV is the usual choice, and a Sprinter works for a corporate group. Our NHL playoff nights guide compares the major arenas, and the Edmonton weekend guide puts an Oilers night in a bigger plan.

West Edmonton Mall, Old Strathcona and the river valley

West Edmonton Mall is about 35 km from the airport, and it is a regular booking for visitors who want shopping, a hotel and a night out in one place. Old Strathcona, 33 km from YEG, is the city's arts and restaurant district and the home of the Fringe; the Edmonton Fringe Festival guide covers the August crowds. Fort Edmonton Park sits in the river valley, about 40 km from the airport.

For a day that mixes a gallery, lunch in Strathcona and a river valley walk, an hourly booking is more efficient than several one-way fares, because the car waits where you tell it to. Edmonton rewards a planned itinerary.

Elk Island, Jasper and the mountain run

Elk Island National Park is about 80 km from YEG, a good half-day for bison and dark skies; our Elk Island guide covers it. Jasper is much further, roughly 380 km from the airport and a drive of about four and a half hours in good conditions. That is a long day in a sedan and a comfortable one in an SUV or Sprinter, with stops. Our Edmonton to Jasper page compares the options, and the Jasper National Park guide and Icefields Parkway guide cover the park.

Calgary is the other major intercity run, about 300 km south. If you are continuing on from the mountains, tell us the final address and we will price a one-way trip rather than a return.

A planned weekend in Edmonton

Visitors who give Edmonton a full weekend tend to be rewarded. A typical shape is Friday arrival, a dinner in the Ice District, a Saturday that moves from the river valley to Old Strathcona, and a Sunday morning flight out. The car stays the same across the weekend, so the chauffeur learns your pace and your luggage, and the booking is easy to extend if you add a stop. The Edmonton weekend guide lays out an itinerary you can adapt, and we price the plan hourly or as a series of point-to-point trips, whichever is cheaper for your version.

If you land late, tell us the hotel and the time you need to be at your first appointment, and we will work back from there. Airport roads are quiet at night and the run is quick, but a flight delay can change everything, so flight tracking matters more than the schedule on your ticket.

Where we pick up in Edmonton

Downtown, the Ice District, Oliver, Garneau, Old Strathcona, Westmount, the west end around West Edmonton Mall, Windermere, Sherwood Park and St. Albert are all regular pickup areas. Hotels near the airport in Nisku and Leduc are short hops from the terminal and sit well inside the minimum. Give us the lobby, tower or private-home address so the driver is not guessing which entrance you meant.

Weddings, proms and celebrations

An Edmonton wedding often means a downtown hotel, a ceremony at a church or a river valley venue, and a reception in a banquet hall or a restored heritage building. We plan the day on hourly rates: a stretch limousine for the couple and party, a Sprinter for family, a mini-coach if guests need a shuttle. For winter weddings, building in a margin for photo stops is the single most useful thing you can do.

Proms and graduations are booked by a parent or guardian with a named adult contact and a plan for the evening. See wedding limousines, prom limousines and party bus rental.

Corporate travel, energy and field-site visits

Edmonton business travel runs through YEG, the downtown towers and the industrial areas that sit around the airport. For repeat travellers we offer accounts and itemised receipts. For a site visit with an early start, we recommend a Luxury SUV or a Sprinter, and an hourly rate for waiting time. The corporate car service page covers invoicing, and hourly chauffeur service covers day rates.

Winter in Edmonton: what to expect

Winter in Edmonton is long, and highway conditions between the airport and the city can change with the wind. Plan extra time on snowy days, and tell us if your flight is delayed by weather; flight tracking will adjust the pickup. For a long mountain trip in winter, leave earlier than the clock suggests, and consider a hotel stay on the way if the forecast looks poor. Safety comes before schedule.

How licensing works in Alberta

Alberta law sets the baseline for commercial driving, including the Class 4 licence that the airport cites for rideshare drivers. The City of Edmonton separately regulates vehicles for hire. When you book any limousine, ask for the operator's municipal licence details, and confirm that the vehicle is insured for commercial passenger use. A reputable company will answer these questions without hesitation, and you should expect that from us as well.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a limo from Edmonton airport to downtown?

A sedan is $145 to $175, an SUV $180 to $220 and a Sprinter $295 to $355 before tax, for a 30 km trip of about 30 minutes. The airport also posts lower flat rates for its on-site taxis and limousines, so a pre-booked car is a convenience and certainty choice, not a price one.

Where do I get a limo at Edmonton International?

The airport says taxis and limousines load outside Door 9 on the Arrivals level, and rideshare is outside Door 10. For a pre-booked ride, your confirmation names the pickup position for your flight.

Is the airport bus a good option?

Yes for solo travellers. The Route 747 runs to Century Park Transit Centre in about 24 minutes. For a family, a late arrival or heavy bags, a car is easier.

Can you take me to Rogers Place?

Yes. Rogers Place has a limousine drop-off and pickup area north of the building, with advance reservations required. We handle the arrangement and agree a return time with you.

How much does an hourly limo cost in Edmonton?

A sedan is $135 to $165 per hour on a two-hour minimum, an SUV $175 to $210 on two hours, a Sprinter $240 to $295 on three, a stretch limousine $225 to $300 on three and a mini-coach $300 to $420 on four.

Can you drive me to Jasper?

Yes. It is about 380 km from YEG and takes roughly four and a half hours. A sedan is about $1,765 to $2,110 one way, an SUV $2,225 to $2,680, before tax.

How long do you wait at the airport?

Flight tracking is included, and waiting is free for 60 minutes after an international landing and 30 minutes after a domestic one. A meet-and-greet in the arrivals hall is an optional $100 to $150.

Do you offer child seats?

Ask for a child seat when you book and it is supplied at no charge. Tell us the age and weight of each child so the correct seat is installed.
