Grey Cup limo service: a rotating championship and a fixed deadline
The Grey Cup is the Canadian Football League's championship game, and unlike most sporting finals, its host city changes. That makes planning an annual puzzle: the airport, the hotels, the stadium and the festival district are all different each year. For 2026 the answer is Calgary. This guide is about that edition specifically, and it is written from the arrival point, whether that is Calgary International Airport (YYC), a private-aviation terminal or a downtown hotel.
A Grey Cup limo service helps in a few clear ways. It gives visitors a flat, planned ride from YYC to a hotel in a week when hotels and taxis are stretched. It gives corporate hosts a vehicle that follows a schedule across a festival and a stadium. And it gives groups a single pickup after a late-finishing game, rather than a crowd and a rideshare surge. It does not help if you are staying a short walk from the festival and plan to ride the CTrain, and we say so below. Enter your pickup and drop-off in the online booker to see the full fare before you commit.
Where and when is the 2026 Grey Cup?

The 113th Grey Cup is on Sunday, November 15, 2026 at McMahon Stadium in Calgary. The Cenovus Energy 2026 Grey Cup Festival runs at Stampede Park in the days beforehand, around November 11 to 14 according to the City of Calgary. Confirm festival hours and any schedule changes on the official festival site.
Visit Calgary lists the festival and game as running November 11 to 15 in its Grey Cup event page, and the City of Calgary's Grey Cup page gives the festival as November 11 to 14 at Stampede Park and the game as November 15. Other listings described an earlier festival start, so expect some programming around the preceding weekend and check the festival's own schedule for the days you travel.
The City says the festival offers free, family-friendly programming, live entertainment and signature events. Ticketed games and events have their own rules, and I did not find a transport plan from the organizers, so the advice below combines Calgary's published venue information with practical logistics.
How the host city rotation shapes your planning
Because the game moves, every host city has a different geometry. Calgary's advantage is that the festival site at Stampede Park, the downtown hotels and the CTrain network are close together, while the stadium sits a short ride away. Other host cities may place the festival and the stadium in very different positions.
I found a report that Regina will host the following edition, but I could not confirm it from an official source, so treat that as a lead rather than a fact. Our Regina airport guide covers the arrival side if you follow the game there, and our airport limo hub lists the other cities we serve. The principle in every host city is the same: map the three points that matter, namely the airport, the hotel zone and the stadium, and decide which legs benefit from a booked car.
YYC airport limo for Grey Cup visitors
Calgary International Airport is north-east of downtown, about 17 km by most travel sources, with a drive of roughly 20 to 25 minutes off-peak and longer in the morning rush. Stampede Park sits a little further south-east. The minimum transfer applies at those distances:

| Trip (approx. km, typical drive) | Executive Sedan | Luxury SUV | Executive Sprinter |
|---|---|---|---|
| YYC to a downtown hotel (about 17 km, 20–25 min) | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| YYC to Stampede Park (about 18–20 km, 25–35 min) | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| YYC to McMahon Stadium (well under 30 km, 25–40 min) | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
Fares are before tax, and gratuity is at your discretion. International arrivals include 60 minutes of free waiting after landing and domestic arrivals 30, with flight tracking included. A driver with a name board inside the arrivals hall is an add-on at $100 to $150. See our Calgary airport page for the arrivals process.
The Calgary Airport Authority notes that commercial operators pick up from a designated area within one of its bus bays, assigned by arrival time. A pre-booked driver is therefore not usually at the arrivals curb, so agree a meeting method in advance. Its taxis and sedans page lists the taxi stands and the airport sedan service, and shows a metered taxi fare of roughly $40 to $45 to downtown and a flat sedan rate of $68.75, both for the downtown run.
The festival at Stampede Park
Stampede Park is the home of the Calgary Stampede, and in November it hosts the Grey Cup Festival. Visit Calgary says you can reach the festival directly by CTrain at Victoria Park station. The Stampede's own transport page recommends Victoria Park/Stampede station for the BMO Centre and the Saddledome, and Erlton/Stampede station for GMC Stadium. Those recommendations are written for July, so confirm which gates are open in November.
The Park's July arrangements are worth reading as a template. Parking is managed by Calgary Parking, with flat rates of $18 per day in Stampede lots and $12 at the 11th Avenue lot in the Stampede's published figures. It lists designated pick-up points for its rideshare partner and for taxis. The Culture + Entertainment District around the Park has construction, and its access map shows current impacts to roads, sidewalks and intersections. Check it the evening before you travel, and plan a drop-off on an open street near the gate.
McMahon Stadium on game day
The game is at McMahon Stadium, which Visit Calgary describes as 10 to 15 minutes from downtown by CTrain, taxi or rideshare. It is open-air, so dress in layers, and check the forecast near game day because Chinook winds can change temperatures sharply.

A big sporting final has three predictable pressure points. The first is arrival: stadium roads fill in the two hours before kickoff, so an early arrival is easier than a tight one. The second is the gate: bag rules and security take time, so read the stadium's policy before you leave the hotel. The third is the exit: tens of thousands of people leave together, and roads, trains and taxis are all overloaded for the first hour.
A chauffeured car does not remove the exit surge, but it gives you a fixed place and time to be collected, and the ability to wait out the crush. Many groups choose to book the pickup for a time after the final whistle and spend the first half hour in a restaurant or at the stadium before heading out. Agree the exact meeting point in advance, since the driver may not be able to reach the closest street.
Dressing for a Calgary November
I did not find an official forecast source for the game, so check Environment Canada close to the day. What Visit Calgary does say is that Chinook winds can swing temperatures quickly, which is a good reason to layer. A warm coat, gloves and a hat are sensible for an open-air game, with a base layer you can add or remove. Footwear matters if the weather brings snow or ice.
For the festival at Stampede Park, expect a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. A day bag with a spare layer is more useful than a heavy coat that you carry all afternoon. If you are in a corporate suite, ask the host about dress expectations and about where your car can drop you.
Hourly bookings for Grey Cup week
A Grey Cup week for a corporate host often includes airport pickups, hotel runs, a dinner and a game-day shuttle. When legs are short, an hourly booking is better value than several minimum transfers. Rates are before tax, with gratuity at your discretion:

| Vehicle | Capacity | Hourly rate | Minimum | Example total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Executive Sedan | 3 passengers | $135–$165 /hr | 2 hours | $270–$330 |
| Luxury SUV | 6 passengers | $175–$210 /hr | 2 hours | $350–$420 |
| Executive Sprinter | 12–14 passengers | $240–$295 /hr | 3 hours | $720–$885 |
| Mini-coach / party bus | 20–30 passengers | $300–$420 /hr | 4 hours | $1,200–$1,680 |
A four-hour SUV block runs $700 to $840. A day of repeated trips between a hotel, the festival and the stadium can fit one vehicle on an hourly rate, with the driver on call. See the fleet for what each vehicle carries, and the rate card for everything.
Private aviation, team arrivals and executive guests
Some visitors reach Calgary on private aircraft. Our Calgary private-aviation page covers the terminal side. The ground leg from the terminal to downtown uses the same rate card, with the same distances. Ask your operator whether a car may meet the aircraft and what documents are required, and share the tail number and arrival time with us when you book so the driver is waiting.
For executive guests, the main planning risk is not distance but timing. A guest who lands at 3 p.m. and has a dinner at 7 p.m. needs a hotel check-in window and a known drive time. Build a 90-minute buffer into the airport leg if the flight is delayed, and let the driver track the aircraft.
Honest comparison: CTrain, taxi, rideshare, sedan and a private car
| Option | Typical cost | Time | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| CTrain to Victoria Park or Erlton | Standard Calgary Transit fare | Short from downtown | Solo travellers staying downtown |
| Free CTrain on 7th Avenue | Free along that stretch, per Visit Calgary | Short hops | Moving between downtown hotels |
| Taxi from YYC | About $40–$45 metered to downtown plus airport fee | 20–30 min | Light bags |
| Airport sedan, flat rate | $68.75 to downtown plus fee | 20–30 min | Posted fare preference |
| Private sedan or SUV | $145–$175 / $180–$220 | 20–35 min | Bags, groups, fixed times |
| Sprinter or mini-coach | $295–$355 / hourly | 20–35 min | Groups of 10 or more |
The CTrain is the right choice for a solo visitor who stays downtown, and we say that plainly. A private car pays off when you land late, travel with luggage or a group, host guests or need a fixed time for a pickup after the game.
Extending the trip: Banff, the Stampede grounds and a Calgary weekend
Visit Calgary notes that Banff is about 90 minutes west if you want to extend your trip. Our Banff, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake guide covers access rules, though November is outside the usual peak season, so check road and park conditions. For a city weekend, the Calgary weekend guide suggests neighbourhoods and restaurants, and our Stampede transport guide describes the same grounds in July.
What to send us when you book for Grey Cup week
Event weeks fill vehicles first and detail second, so send the detail early. Give the flight number for every arrival, the hotel name and the room-block contact if a company is paying, and the number of passengers and bags in each party. If you are attending the game itself, tell us the gate or the section on your ticket, since that changes where a car should wait. For a corporate programme, send the draft itinerary and let the driver adjust it with you, because festival schedules move.
Finally, decide who in your group has the authority to change the plan. On a game night, someone has to say yes to a new pickup corner within a minute, and the driver needs one mobile number to call.
