An Easter weekend limo service earns its keep in the unglamorous moments: the crowded curb on Thursday evening, the family dinner for eleven on Sunday, the return leg on Monday when every ride in town is already taken. Easter in 2027 arrives early, so winter tires are still on, the roads are still unpredictable, and many schools and offices have only just come back from a break.

LimousineCanada.ca is organised around airports, stations and ports. The plan below starts at the arrival point and works out to the places people actually go at Easter: Niagara Falls, Banff, downtown Montréal, or simply across town to a relative's house.

When is Easter in 2027, and which days are holidays?

Easter Sunday is 28 March 2027. Good Friday is 26 March and Easter Monday is 29 March. Good Friday is a statutory holiday in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia. Easter Monday is a statutory day off almost nowhere, though some employers and school boards observe it.

The dates come from the Ontario school calendar, which lists Good Friday as 26 March 2027 and Easter Monday as 29 March 2027. What changes at each provincial border is who gets which day off.

ProvinceGood FridayEaster Monday
OntarioPublic holidayNot a public holiday
British ColumbiaStatutory holiday, 26 March 2027Not a statutory holiday
AlbertaGeneral holidayOptional; employers may choose to recognise it
ManitobaGeneral holidayNot listed as a general holiday
Nova ScotiaPaid general holiday and retail closing dayNot a paid general holiday
QuebecEmployer chooses Good Friday or Easter MondayEmployer chooses Good Friday or Easter Monday

You can check the primary lists on the Ontario public holidays page, the British Columbia statutory holidays page, the Alberta general holidays page and the Nova Scotia holiday chart. The Quebec rule is the one that surprises visitors: under the province's labour standards the employer picks the Friday or the Monday, so some offices and shops close on one day and some on the other.

Easter weekend limo service: what to book first

Start with the fixed points and build backwards. A flight, a hotel check-in, a church service or a family dinner is a fixed point. The car is the flexible piece that joins them.

  1. Write down the landing time and the flight number for every arrival.
  2. Decide whether the group is under three people or over six, because that sets the vehicle.
  3. Book the return at the same time as the outbound trip.
  4. If Sunday includes more than two stops, price it by the hour rather than as separate transfers.

The online booker prices the exact pickup and drop-off addresses, which is more accurate than any table printed in a blog post. Rates are before tax and tolls, and gratuity is at your discretion. The limo rates page has the complete card, and the fleet page shows what each vehicle seats and carries.

Thursday and Monday: the airport days

Long weekends are lopsided. Thursday evening and Friday morning bring the outbound surge, and Monday afternoon and evening bring the return. In between, the airport is calmer than people expect. If you have flexibility, an early Saturday arrival is often smoother than a Thursday-night one.

For Pearson, the Pearson airport limo service page explains how pickups work at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Flight tracking is included on every airport booking, so a delayed aircraft does not turn into a missed driver. Waiting time after an international landing is free for the first hour, and after a domestic landing for the first half hour. A driver holding a name board inside the arrivals hall is an optional extra at $100–$150.

The airport rail link runs on a holiday timetable. The UP Express between Pearson and Union Station takes about 28 minutes, and its official schedule has later first departures on weekends and holidays than on weekdays, so check the UP Express site before assuming a 5 a.m. train.

Pearson to Niagara Falls for Easter

Niagara Falls is about 130 km from Pearson, and published drive times range from about 75 to 90 minutes in good conditions up to two hours when traffic is heavy. The Queen Elizabeth Way is the usual route. Easter weekend is the shoulder of the tourist season: the crowds are smaller than July, but a few of the seasonal attractions are still on reduced hours, so check each one before you plan around it.

Horseshoe Falls at Niagara Falls

Executive Sedan$605–$720
Luxury SUV$760–$915
Executive Sprinter$1,075–$1,285

The day-trip version of this run, with a full itinerary, is in the Niagara Falls day trip guide. For a family of six with grandparents, the SUV usually beats two cars on cost and certainly on coordination. A driver can drop everyone at the door of a restaurant and take the vehicle away to park, which matters when an older relative has a walking stick and the weather is wet.

Calgary airport to Banff: Easter in the mountains

Calgary International Airport is about 130 km from Banff National Park, roughly 90 minutes by road according to Banff & Lake Louise Tourism. That is the same distance as the Niagara run, and the fares are the same, but the road is different: this is the Trans-Canada Highway into the Rockies, where early-spring weather can be dry in Calgary and snowy in the park.

VehicleCalgary airport to Banff (about 130 km, about 90 min)
Executive Sedan$605–$720
Luxury SUV$760–$915
Executive Sprinter$1,075–$1,285

Buy the National Park Pass online before you arrive, as the tourism board recommends, so there is no queue at the gate. The Calgary airport limo page covers the arrivals routine. Alberta school spring breaks are set by individual divisions, and several 2027 calendars place them around Good Friday and Easter Monday, so Banff can be busy even if the date is not a statutory holiday for your employer. The Banff, Lake Louise and Moraine Lake guide has the stop-by-stop detail.

Montréal at Easter: YUL to downtown

Montréal-Trudeau airport is about 20 km from downtown, a drive of roughly 25 to 35 minutes depending on traffic. At that distance the minimum transfer applies, so the prices below are the minimums.

Downtown Montréal skyline seen from Mount Royal
Downtown Montréal skyline seen from Mount Royal
VehicleYUL to downtown Montréal (about 20 km, 25–35 min)
Executive Sedan$145–$175
Luxury SUV$180–$220
Executive Sprinter$295–$355

The Montréal-Trudeau limo page explains pickup. The STM 747 bus is the budget alternative: the 2026 fare listed by the STM is $11.25, which includes a 24-hour pass, and the bus leaves from door 28 in the international arrivals area. It is a good option for a solo traveller with a backpack. It is a poor one for a family with three suitcases, a stroller and a long flight behind them.

Easter Sunday dinner by the hour

The hardest booking at Easter is not the airport. It is Sunday afternoon: grandparents in one suburb, cousins in another, a restaurant booked for four o'clock, and nobody wanting to be the designated driver. An hourly booking solves it.

VehicleSeatsHourly (minimum)Example: 4 hours
Executive Sedan3 pax$135–$165 /hr (2 hr)$540–$660
Luxury SUV6 pax$175–$210 /hr (2 hr)$700–$840
Executive Sprinter12–14 pax$240–$295 /hr (3 hr)$960–$1,180
Stretch limousine8–10 pax$225–$300 /hr (3 hr)$900–$1,200

An hourly booking means one driver, one vehicle and one itinerary: pick up in the morning, church, brunch, home, back out again. Write every address in the booking notes and mention anyone who needs extra time to get in and out of the vehicle, so the driver can plan a curbside stop instead of a hurried one.

Seats, bags and gifts

An Easter weekend has its own luggage: gifts, a covered dish, a cooler. In the sedan, three passengers share a boot that takes two large suitcases and two carry-ons. The Luxury SUV seats six and holds five to six large bags. The Executive Sprinter takes 12 to 14 people and more than a dozen bags. Count the odd items as bags and book the vehicle that leaves some space.

Ask for child seats when you book, because they cost nothing. Put the child's age and weight in the notes. If a stroller is coming along, say so, because it takes the space of a large bag.

How the alternatives compare

Easter pricing for rail, bus and shuttle options is set by the operators, so here is an honest ranking by who each option suits.

OptionTypical costTimeBest for
UP Express, Pearson to Union$9.25 with PRESTO, $12.35 without28 minOne or two travellers heading downtown
STM 747 bus, YUL to downtown$11.25About 45–70 min to Berri-UQAMSolo travellers, light bags
Airport shuttle, Calgary to BanffPer-seat fare set by the operatorAbout 90 min plus stopsSolo travellers who can share a ride
Executive Sedan, Pearson to Union Station (27 km)$145–$175About 30 minLate arrivals, heavy luggage
Luxury SUV, Pearson to Niagara Falls (130 km)$760–$91575 min to 2 hFamilies of up to six

If you are alone with one bag and you land in the middle of the afternoon, the train or bus is the smart answer and the saving is real. A private car pays for itself when you land late, the group is large, or someone in it needs more help than a platform can provide.

Spring roads and weather

Early spring is the least predictable season on Canadian roads. Rain, wet snow, freeze and thaw can all turn up within a single weekend, and the mountain passes are the least forgiving. Plan arrival times with a buffer, carry a layer you can take off, and keep a rain jacket in the cabin rather than in the trunk. Nothing about a chauffeured trip changes the weather, but it does remove the stress of a long drive after a long flight.

A sample Easter weekend

Thursday: land in the evening, collect the car, and go straight to the hotel. Friday: a late, unhurried morning, then a drive to Niagara Falls or into the mountains, with the car waiting through the afternoon. Saturday: a city day by the hour. Sunday: church or brunch, then the family dinner, using a single hourly booking. Monday: one last breakfast, then the airport with a buffer.

If you want a second long weekend to plan around, the Victoria Day weekend guide works through the cottage-opening drive from Pearson.

Booking tips

Reserve as soon as your flights are fixed. Easter dates move every year, which makes the weekend easy to forget until the last fortnight. The airport limo page lists every airport we serve, so you can match each end of a multi-city trip. If your plans may change, read the cancellation terms at booking and keep flight confirmations handy.

Frequently asked questions

What are the Easter long weekend dates in 2027?

Good Friday is 26 March, Easter Sunday is 28 March and Easter Monday is 29 March 2027. Good Friday is the main statutory holiday in most provinces, and Easter Monday is optional in most workplaces.

Is Good Friday a statutory holiday in every province?

It is a statutory or general holiday in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Nova Scotia. In Quebec the employer chooses between Good Friday and Easter Monday, so it is not fixed by date.

Is Easter Monday a stat holiday in Ontario?

No. Ontario's nine public holidays include Good Friday but not Easter Monday. Some employers and schools still close on that day, and the Ontario school calendar lists 29 March 2027 as Easter Monday.

How much is a car from Pearson to Niagara Falls?

Pearson to the falls is about 130 km. A sedan is $605–$720 and an SUV is $760–$915 before tax, and typing your own address into the booker returns the all-in fare.

How long does it take to get from Calgary airport to Banff?

Banff & Lake Louise Tourism puts it at about 130 km and roughly 90 minutes. Allow longer if weather is poor, and buy your National Park Pass before you reach the gate.

Can I hire a limo by the hour for Easter dinner?

Yes. Book a sedan at $135–$165 an hour, an SUV at $175–$210 an hour (both with two-hour minimums), or a Sprinter at $240–$295 an hour with a three-hour minimum.

Will my driver wait if my flight is late on Easter weekend?

Yes. Flight tracking is included, so the pickup follows the real landing time, and the first hour of waiting after an international landing (the first half hour after a domestic one) costs nothing.

Is the train cheaper than a limo from Pearson to downtown Toronto?

Yes. The UP Express costs $9.25 with PRESTO or $12.35 otherwise and takes about 28 minutes. A car costs more but is the easier choice with luggage, children or a late arrival.

Do you supply child seats?

There is no charge for child seats, but they must be requested in advance. List each child's age and weight in the booking notes.
