A Queen Elizabeth hotel limo solves a problem that this particular building creates. Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth sits directly above Montréal's Central Station, at 900 René-Lévesque Boulevard West, so guests arrive from every direction at once: off a VIA train, off an Amtrak connection, from a flight into Trudeau, from the underground concourse, from a convention. This page covers the road side of that picture. LimousineCanada.ca is an independent chauffeur service, with no affiliation with the hotel or with Fairmont, and the property facts below come from the hotel's own website.
How much is a limo from Montréal airport to the Queen Elizabeth hotel?
Montréal-Trudeau is about 19 km and 25 minutes from Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth. An Executive Sedan is $145–$175, a Luxury SUV $180–$220 and an Executive Sprinter $295–$355, each way, before tax. The distance sits below the minimum transfer, so the minimum applies. Your exact address is priced in the online booker.
The hotel's location page puts the airport at about 20 minutes by car and mentions three ways to make the trip: Uber, a taxi at a flat fare to downtown, and a limousine pickup arranged through the concierge. A pre-booked car from LimousineCanada.ca is the same idea without the concierge as an intermediary: you book, you see the range, and you have a name and a flight-tracked pickup.
Queen Elizabeth hotel limo from Trudeau airport
Your chauffeur follows your flight, so delays are absorbed without a new booking. The free wait after landing runs 60 minutes if you arrive from outside Canada and 30 minutes on domestic flights. If you want a driver holding a name board inside the arrivals hall, add $100–$150 at booking. The trip downtown runs about 25 minutes when the expressways flow and up to 45 in an afternoon crawl. The Trudeau airport page explains the terminal and the pickup area, and the Montréal limo page gives city-wide context.

Private arrivals are also common here because the hotel hosts conferences and teams. The Saint-Hubert FBO page and the Trudeau private aviation page cover ramp pickups. The drive from Saint-Hubert is about 18 km and 25 minutes.
Arriving by train: the hotel is the station
The hotel describes itself as directly above Central Station and mentions direct access to it. VIA Rail confirms that the station, at 895 de la Gauchetière West, is located under the hotel. That is the most unusual feature of this property: a guest stepping off a train can reach reception without going outdoors. In most cases, then, a car is not the best option on arrival by train. It is the right choice when you carry multiple bags to a different destination, when you are leaving the station for a wedding venue across town, or when you want a chauffeur waiting on the platform side.
VIA's page lists a curbside drop-off zone to the left of the main entrance, nearby Bonaventure and McGill metro stations, the 747 express bus to Trudeau, commuter rail and Amtrak connections, and a mention of the REM. See VIA Rail's station page for its current details and our Gare Centrale page for how a chauffeur meets a train. If you only need to get from the platform to the lobby, walk. If you are heading somewhere else with luggage, call us.
Where the car stops and what the hotel offers
The address is 900 René-Lévesque Boulevard West, H3B 4A5. The hotel lists valet parking and indoor parking for an additional fee, and states that check-in is typically after 4:00 p.m. with check-out by noon. Because the building is huge, your chauffeur will ask which entrance you prefer: the main lobby for check-in or the station side for a quick transfer to a train. Mention it when you book and add it to the notes field.

At 950 rooms, suites and Fairmont Gold accommodation, the hotel is among the larger downtown properties. It promotes the restaurant Rosélys, which serves fine dining, a Sunday brunch buffet and afternoon tea; the cocktail bar Nacarat; a shop for local products called Marché Artisans; the Moment Spa; an indoor pool with a hot tub and saunas; and a wellness centre open around the clock. It lists a John Lennon Yoko Ono Suite among its suites.

Hourly chauffeur rates for conferences and weekends
Many guests here are in town for meetings. If you need a vehicle on call, whether for a client dinner in Old Montréal or a run between several head offices, an hourly booking is the better choice.

| Use | Vehicle | Hourly range | Minimum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive meetings and client dinners | Executive Sedan | $135–$165 /hr | 2 hr |
| Family weekend with luggage | Luxury SUV | $175–$210 /hr | 2 hr |
| Team of eleven between offices | Executive Sprinter | $240–$295 /hr | 3 hr |
| Gala or wedding party | Stretch limousine | $225–$300 /hr | 3 hr |
| Event shuttle for a hall or arena | Mini-coach / party bus | $300–$420 /hr | 4 hr |
The fleet page lists seating and bag limits, and the corporate car service page explains billing and receipts for company accounts.
Ways to reach the Queen Elizabeth compared
This hotel is easy to reach without a car, and the table is candid about it.
| Choice | Price | Duration | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private car (LimousineCanada.ca) | $145–$175 sedan from YUL | About 25 min | Luggage, families, late arrivals, guaranteed pickup |
| Taxi | Flat fare to downtown | About 25 min | Spontaneous arrivals |
| Rideshare | App price at the time | About 25 min | One traveller, one bag |
| 747 express bus | A transit fare | Longer, with stops | Solo travellers, daytime flights |
| Train from another city | VIA fare | Station to lobby, minutes | Guests from Ottawa, Québec City or Toronto |
If you are arriving by rail, the best transfer is the elevator. If you are a solo traveller with a carry-on on an afternoon flight, the airport express is cheaper than any car, and we would not argue. The private car justifies itself when time, luggage or people are on the line; compare apps in limo versus rideshare.
What the Queen Elizabeth is known for
The hotel calls itself an icon of downtown Montréal since 1958 and says its rooms reflect its 1960s heritage with a contemporary touch. Its defining feature is the station underneath. It also advertises a Formula 1 Grand Prix offer, which tells you when a large share of its guests arrive.

Weddings, galas and conferences
The hotel's events and weddings page lists Place du Canada as the grand ballroom at 742 square metres, seating up to 630 at banquet tables. Square Dorchester can join it for larger events, and the Agora and Centre-Ville rooms together hold up to 600. Espace 21 has a 252-square-metre terrace. The hotel does not list a dedicated ceremony space. For event transport we use stretch limousines for the couple, Sprinters for family and mini-coaches for guest shuttles; see wedding limo for timelines.
Grand Prix and summer festival traffic
When the Canadian Grand Prix arrives, the hotel's guests and the whole downtown are in demand. Read our Grand Prix guide, then the jazz festival and Osheaga guides. Book early, confirm your pickup, and expect road closures. The Montréal weekend guide covers Mount Royal, the Plateau and the Old Port. The Ritz-Carlton Montréal is the other great downtown address; see Ritz-Carlton Montréal for a different style of stay.
Day trips by private car
From the hotel, Old Montréal is about 2 km, Saint-Hubert 18 km, Mont-Tremblant about 144 km, Ottawa about 199 km and Québec City about 251 km. See the Mont-Tremblant village guide, and for guests who want to continue to the capital of Québec, Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is the natural next stop. The hotels and resorts hub lists other properties.
Short hops from the hotel: when to walk and when to book
The tower is closer to most of downtown than people expect. From the hotel the Bell Centre is about 1.2 km and 3 minutes by car, Notre-Dame Basilica 1.5 km and 3 minutes, Place des Arts 1.7 km and 4 minutes, the lookout on Mount Royal about 2.3 km and 5 minutes, and the Old Port clock tower 2.7 km and 6 minutes. Farther out, the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve is about 7.9 km and 15 minutes, and the Olympic Stadium about 8.5 km and 15 minutes.
Every one of those trips falls under the minimum transfer, so each costs $145–$175 in a sedan. That is poor value for a single 1 km hop, and for the Bell Centre we would tell you to walk. The numbers change once you stack stops. Three separate minimum transfers come to $435–$525 in a sedan, while a two-hour hourly booking is $270–$330 and covers as many stops as fit inside it. For an evening that includes dinner, a show and a late return, hourly is cheaper from the third trip onward and removes the wait for a car.
Imagine a domestic flight landing at 1:30 p.m. The 30 minutes of free waiting runs from touchdown, which is usually enough to collect a checked bag and reach the curb. The car leaves the airport at about 2:15 p.m. and reaches René-Lévesque Boulevard around 2:45 p.m. Because the hotel lists check-in as typically after 4:00 p.m., a guest in that position should ask the front desk in advance whether bags can be held. With the cases dealt with, the time before check-in can go to lunch in the underground concourse, a walk to the basilica or a first coffee. If the flight is international, the 60-minute allowance gives customs far more room, and the same chauffeur is waiting at the end of it.
Moving a conference group in and out
A hotel with a ballroom for 630 banquet guests and a grand total of 950 rooms receives groups in waves, and the airport is where the waves break. If you are organising delegates, the cleanest approach is to schedule arrivals by flight block rather than by individual. Give us the flight numbers and the number of passengers, and we will assign Sprinters or mini-coaches to the busiest clusters and sedans or SUVs to executives who land alone. A Sprinter carries 12 to 14 passengers with 12 or more bags; a mini-coach carries 20 to 30. A two-hour gap between flights usually fills one vehicle without waiting for stragglers.
On departure days the same logic runs in reverse. Delegates who leave on the same morning flight can share a coach from the hotel's entrance, with the pickup time set about three hours before departure for an international flight and two hours for a domestic one. Those figures are planning guidance rather than airline rules, so adjust them for your airline and for the season. Corporate planners can read how we handle accounts, receipts and manifests on the corporate car service page, and the Sprinter van rental page explains the larger vehicle in detail.
What your booking includes
Each airport pickup comes with flight tracking, and the free wait after landing is an hour for international arrivals and 30 minutes for domestic ones. Ask for a child seat when you book and it is provided free. Our cancellation terms read as follows: more than 72 hours' notice carries no charge, 72 hours or less costs 10%, 48 hours or less costs 50%, and 24 hours or less or a no-show costs 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. Tipping is up to you.
