A Festival d'été de Québec limo service answers three practical questions that every festival visitor faces: how to get from the airport or the train station to the right gate, where to be dropped when the streets around Grande Allée are closed to traffic, and how to leave a crowd of tens of thousands without a long wait. LimousineCanada.ca plans the car around the festival's own gates and closures, so the ride matches the site and not just the address.

When is the Festival d'été de Québec, and where is it held?

The Festival d'été de Québec ran July 9 to 19 in 2026, and the festival's website lists July 8 to 18, 2027 and July 6 to 16, 2028. Its biggest site is the Plains of Abraham, with other stages at Place George-V, Place de l'Assemblée-Nationale and Place D'Youville. Always confirm dates on feq.ca.

The festival's own site thanked attendees for the 58th edition after the 2026 run, and a Bonjour Québec listing describes the main site as holding more than 80,000 spectators, with more than 250 shows across the festival. Those figures change each year, so use them for scale, not as promises. The format has stayed consistent: eleven days of programming in the second week of July, anchored on the Plains and spread across several sites in Old Québec's western edge.

Exact dates change every year, so read the festival's site before you book your trip. This guide uses the 2026 programme as its model, because it is the most recent edition for which the organizers published full access details.

The festival sites and which entrance to use

The festival's Getting to the Festival page sets out the geography in detail. Based on that page:

An outdoor summer concert
An outdoor summer concert
  • Plains of Abraham hosts the Bell Stage and requires a pass. It has two entrances: the main one at the Cross of Sacrifice, and a secondary one at Cap-Blanc.
  • Place George-V hosts the Loto-Québec and SiriusXM stages and requires a pass. You reach it through Parc de la Francophonie, via a pedestrian bridge over Grande Allée. The main entrance is on Jacques-Parizeau Street. Guests with reduced mobility and families with strollers can enter from Grande Allée.
  • Place de l'Assemblée-Nationale hosts the Hydro-Québec Stage and Le Cœur. It is free.
  • Place D'Youville hosts the Crave Stage. It is free.
  • The Armoury hosts Extras FEQ and requires a pass.
  • Parc de la Francophonie requires a pass in the evening, has its entrance on Jacques-Parizeau Street and opened at 2:30 p.m. in 2026.

When you book a car, tell us which stage you are heading for and which entrance your group wants. The driver will aim for the closest practical drop-off to that gate and will agree a pickup corner that does not sit on a closed street.

Passes: what you actually need to buy

The festival sold passes, not single-night tickets, in 2026. The festival's site listed a General Admission pass at $180 ($156.56 before taxes), with other tiers such as Le Jardin from $125, a Desjardins Exclusive Presale pass at $166, and premium zones from several hundred dollars. Passes are sold only through the festival's official site, and the organizers warn that they are not responsible for purchases on third-party sites.

The prices above are the 2026 prices, listed on the festival's site after the festival ended. Expect the 2027 prices to differ. The festival also uses an account system to activate passes, view mobile tickets and manage waiting lists, so create the account before the sale begins.

Festival d'été limo fares from YQB, the train station and the Old Port

Jean Lesage International Airport is about 15 km from the Plains of Abraham by road, a drive of roughly 20 to 30 minutes outside festival hours. The Québec City train station, the Gare du Palais, is about 3 km from the Plains. All fares in the table come from the rate card, exclude tax and leave gratuity to you.

Every line here sits at the minimum transfer, because the distance is short. The festival's pedestrian perimeter lengthens drive times on show days, which the ranges allow for. The online booker quotes an exact fare for your address, and it is worth entering the real pickup point, because a hotel inside the perimeter changes the approach.

Book through our Québec City airport hub page if you land there, and use the Gare du Palais page if you arrive by rail. VIA Rail's station page lists the station at 450 rue de la Gare du Palais.

Road closures and the pedestrian perimeter

This is the single most useful fact for anyone planning to arrive by car. According to the festival, the pedestrian perimeter around the sites closes to traffic Monday to Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 1 a.m. Grande Allée is closed to eastbound traffic at Avenue Holland from 3:30 p.m., and the southern sector is reached via René-Lévesque and connecting streets.

For a chauffeur, that shapes the whole ride. The car cannot enter the closed core, so we plan the drop-off on the edge of the perimeter, with a short and clear walk to the gate. The same rule applies on the return. Choose a pickup corner outside the closed streets, and expect to walk a few minutes to it. Send the driver a message as the last song ends, not when you reach the corner.

If your hotel sits inside the perimeter, tell us at booking. We will plan an arrival earlier in the afternoon, before the 3:30 p.m. closure, or arrange a drop-off at the edge.

Parking at the festival: why most visitors skip it

The festival's page says paid indoor and outdoor parking is run by La Société Parc-Auto, with reservations available through ClicknPark. It also warns that parking fills quickly and that arriving early is advised. Carpooling is encouraged through a carpool platform.

That adds up to a poor trade for a night out: a reserved space, a walk through the crowd, and a slow exit. A chauffeur gets around it by dropping you, leaving the area and returning when you call.

Transit, shuttles, the ferry and bikes

The festival's page describes several ways to arrive without a car:

  • Bus. The RTC runs more buses during the festival, and its Festibus operates on schedules adjusted to show end times. Buy transit tickets before you reach a shuttle lot, because none are sold there.
  • Shuttles. Dedicated routes run from the suburbs to downtown, near the festival sites.
  • Ferry. The Lévis–Québec crossing runs more often, and the Fleuve Illimité Pass, valid July 9 to 19 in 2026, is sold only at the Lévis terminal ticket office.
  • Bikes. Free secured bike parking is at the corner of Honoré-Mercier and Saint-Louis and on George-VI Avenue beside the Hôtel Le Concorde. An àVélo station sits near Jardin Jeanne-d'Arc, and a bike path runs along Grande Allée Est.
  • Walking. The pedestrian perimeter makes this the most natural way to reach the gates once you are inside it.

For someone sleeping inside the perimeter, walking is the better choice and costs nothing. A chauffeur is worth the fare when you arrive by air or train with luggage, travel with a group or children, or want a fixed car at the end of a late night.

A festival night with a chauffeur

A sensible plan for two or three people staying a few kilometres from the site:

  1. Activate your pass and collect any mobile tickets earlier in the day, away from the opening rush.
  2. Dine before the closures start at 3:30 p.m. on weekdays, or by noon on weekends.
  3. Meet the car at the hotel and ride to the edge of the perimeter.
  4. Walk to the Cross of Sacrifice entrance or the Place George-V gate.
  5. Message the driver as the final set ends, and meet at the agreed corner outside the closed streets.

If a group splits between two stages, the driver can collect each half separately, which is easier than a single shared meeting point.

Accessibility and families

The Bonjour Québec listing says the festival offers shuttle service, a picnic area and accessibility for people with disabilities, with details through Kéroul. The festival lists a Limited Mobility page, and Place George-V has an entrance from Grande Allée for guests with reduced mobility and for strollers. Tell us at booking if anyone needs step-free access, and we will plan a stop that suits.

Child seats can be added to the booking free of charge. List each child's age and weight, and the correct seat will be waiting.

Weather and what to wear

July evenings in Québec City are usually warm, but storms are possible. A recap of the 2026 festival noted that one Saturday's programming was briefly placed on hold because of weather. Carry a light rain jacket, and wear shoes that cope with grass and gravel. Ponchos are easier to carry than umbrellas in a crowd.

Agree a pickup corner and a time window before you arrive, and write them down in case messages are slow.

Pairing the festival with Québec City sightseeing

A festival trip fits well inside a longer stay. Our weekend guide to Québec City covers the city in every season. For a walking day, the plan for Old Québec on foot explains what a car can and cannot reach. For a half-day outside the walls, see Montmorency Falls and Île d'Orléans.

If you visit in winter instead, read about the Québec Winter Carnival. If you arrive by ship during the festival, the Québec City cruise terminal page sets out the pickup details.

Groups, bands and corporate hosts

Crew, performers and corporate hosts often move together. An Executive Sprinter seats 12 to 14 passengers and costs $295–$355 for a transfer within the city, around $25–$30 per person for a full twelve. A 20-to-30-seat mini-coach or party bus is $300–$420 an hour on a four-hour minimum.

For client hosting, a stretch limousine is $225–$300 per hour with a three-hour minimum and seats eight to ten. See the fleet page and the rate card for the full list of vehicles.

Planning for 2027

The festival's site lists July 8 to 18, 2027. The same recap reported that passes sold out in about three hours, so check the sale date early, and reserve your car at the same time as your accommodation. Keep the pickup time flexible: set the airport run firmly, and treat the late-night return as a rolling pickup.
