A Valentine's Day limo service turns the hardest evening of the restaurant year into something unhurried. Everybody else is circling for parking and checking their phones outside a full lobby. You step out at the door, the car leaves, and it returns when the dessert plates do. That is the whole idea, and it does not need to be complicated or flashy.

This guide covers three kinds of evening: dinner and a show, a hotel night with a dinner in the middle, and a long, quiet day of small stops. It also explains the vehicles, the hourly rates, how far ahead to book, and when a taxi or a train is the sensible answer. Because the site grew out of airport and station transfers, it also covers the arrival: the flight that lands at six and dinner at eight.

When is Valentine's Day in 2027, and when should you book?

Valentine's Day 2027 is Sunday, 14 February, and the next day, Monday 15 February, is Family Day in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and several other provinces. A Sunday-night booking with a day off to follow is popular, so book the car as soon as you book the restaurant.

Family Day is the third Monday in February. Ontario lists it among its nine public holidays on the Ontario public holidays page, and the Ontario school calendar places it on 15 February 2027. If you have that Monday free, the evening can run late and the morning can start slowly, which is a better foundation for a celebration than a Monday-morning alarm. Quebec has no February holiday, so a Montréal plan may need an earlier finish.

Valentine's Day limo service: the three evenings people book

The common bookings fall into three patterns.

A candlelit dinner table
A candlelit dinner table
  1. Dinner and a show. One pickup at home or at the hotel, a drop-off at the restaurant, a wait, a short hop to the theatre, and a final ride home. A sedan or SUV by the hour suits this.
  2. Hotel night. A late-afternoon arrival at the airport or station, a transfer to the hotel, an evening out, and a morning departure. A point-to-point transfer plus a short hourly block does this.
  3. A day of small stops. Brunch, a gallery, a walk, a spa visit and dinner, with the car in between. A longer hourly booking, often five or six hours, makes sense.

For all three, the online booker calculates the all-in fare for the addresses you enter. The ranges below are for planning, with the booker providing the exact figure.

What a Valentine's evening costs by the hour

Hourly bookings carry a minimum, 2 hours for the sedan and SUV and 3 hours for the stretch limousine.

VehicleSeats / bagsHourly (minimum)Example: 3 hoursExample: 5 hours
Executive Sedan3 pax, 2 large + 2 carry-on$135–$165 /hr (2 hr)$405–$495$675–$825
Luxury SUV6 pax, 5–6 large bags$175–$210 /hr (2 hr)$525–$630$875–$1,050
Stretch limousine8–10 pax$225–$300 /hr (3 hr)$675–$900$1,125–$1,500

All amounts are before tax and any tolls, and gratuity is at your discretion. A sedan is the classic choice for two. The stretch limousine begins to make sense with a group: two couples sharing a dinner, or a proposal with family waiting at the restaurant. For two people alone it is a lot of vehicle, and a sedan or SUV is the quieter, better-value pick.

Check the limo rates page for the whole rate card and the fleet page for what each vehicle seats.

A Toronto evening: Yorkville, the waterfront and a downtown show

Toronto is the easiest city for a car-led evening because the good restaurants are spread across Yorkville, King West, the Entertainment District and the waterfront, and parking in all of them is expensive on a normal night. On February 14 it is worse.

Casa Loma in Toronto

A typical sequence is a pickup at six, a drop-off at a Yorkville restaurant, a wait of about two hours, a short hop to a downtown theatre, and a ride home. That is about five hours on the clock and costs $675–$825 in a sedan or $875–$1,050 in an SUV. If you start at the airport, Pearson is about 27 km from downtown, about 30 minutes in light traffic, and the minimum transfer applies: $145–$175 in a sedan and $180–$220 in an SUV. The Toronto limo service page covers the pickup points, and the Toronto luxury weekend guide suggests places to stay.

A Vancouver evening: Coal Harbour, Gastown and the seawall

In Vancouver the best part of a February evening is the waterfront, and the best answer to the rain is a car that waits at a dry door. A sample plan: a pickup at a Coal Harbour hotel, a drive to a Gastown restaurant, a short detour along the edge of Stanley Park if the weather allows, and a last stop for dessert. Plan it as an hourly booking with three to four hours, which is $405–$660 in a sedan and $525–$840 in an SUV.

If you are arriving by air, tell us the flight number when you book. The Vancouver limo service page describes the city pickups, and the Vancouver luxury weekend guide has more on where to stay and eat.

A Montréal evening: Old Montréal and Mount Royal

Montréal rewards a slow evening. Old Montréal has cobbled streets that are lovely on foot and hard on a heel, and a car that lets you out at the restaurant door makes the evening more comfortable. The airport is about 20 km from downtown, around 25 to 35 minutes, and the transfer is a minimum fare: $145–$175 in a sedan, $180–$220 in an SUV. The Montréal-Trudeau airport page covers the arrivals process.

The airport's 747 bus is the cheaper way in, at $11.25 for a fare that includes a 24-hour pass, with the stop at door 28 of the international arrivals area. On Valentine's weekend, with a suitcase and a dinner reservation, most couples prefer the car. The Montréal weekend guide fills out the rest of the trip, and the STM 747 page has the current fare.

A romantic day trip to Niagara

If dinner in the city feels too predictable, For a day away from the city, Niagara Falls lies about 130 km from Pearson, a run of 75 to 90 minutes when the road is clear. A sedan for the run is $605–$720 and an SUV is $760–$915. In February the falls are open to visitors, and the cold is part of the story, but some seasonal attractions have reduced hours, so check each one first.

A chauffeured day trip works well because the driver can drop you at the door, hold the car, and return when the dinner is over. It also takes the question of who drives home after a bottle of wine off the table.

Proposals and surprises

A proposal is where a booked car earns its fare. Tell the booking desk where the question will be asked, who needs to be there, and what time the photographer arrives. Keep the details in the booking notes and share them only with the people who need them. A driver who knows the plan can arrive early, hold a spot at the curb and leave quickly once the moment has passed.

Sedan, SUV or stretch limousine?

The honest answer depends on the number of people, not the occasion. The Executive Sedan is ideal for two people with an overnight bag; it seats three and takes two large bags plus two carry-ons. A Luxury SUV seats six and is the right vehicle for a couple plus parents, or two couples who are sharing dinner. A stretch limousine seats eight to ten and is the right answer for a group.

If you want a particular colour or interior, put it in the booking notes and ask what can be arranged before you count on it.

How a limo compares with the alternatives

Not every Valentine's evening needs a chauffeur. Here is a plain comparison.

OptionTypical costTimeBest for
Walk or local transitLocal transit fareVariesA restaurant near the hotel
UP Express, Pearson to Union$9.25 with PRESTO, $12.35 without28 minArriving at Pearson with one small bag
Executive Sedan, Pearson to downtown (27 km)$145–$175About 30 minArriving with luggage, then dinner
Executive Sedan by the hour, 3 hours$405–$4953 hoursDinner and a short hop
Stretch limousine, 3-hour minimum$675–$9003 hoursGroups of up to 10

The UP Express is a good option if you are landing at Pearson with a single carry-on and your hotel is downtown. A car is worth the cost when you land late, bring luggage, or want to arrive at dinner looking like you did not just travel six hours.

A run-sheet for a dinner-and-show evening

The best evenings are built on a short timetable that everyone, including the driver, can see. Here is one that works for a seven o'clock curtain.

  1. 5:15 p.m.: pickup at home or the hotel, with the gift and the flowers already in the cabin.
  2. 5:45 p.m.: drop-off at the restaurant, with the reservation under way and the driver parked nearby.
  3. 6:50 p.m.: a short hop to the theatre door, so nobody is hurrying across a slushy street in good shoes.
  4. 10:15 p.m.: pickup outside the theatre, with a stop for dessert or a nightcap if the evening deserves it.
  5. 11:15 p.m.: home or hotel, door to door.

Write the times into the booking notes and treat them as a draft, not a contract. Restaurants run late on this particular Sunday, and a driver who has the sequence to hand can adapt without a phone call to interrupt the table.

Gifts, flowers and luggage

A Valentine's evening comes with objects: a bouquet, a wrapped box, a coat, perhaps an overnight bag for a hotel stay. Put them in the cabin rather than the trunk so they arrive in good condition, and tell the booking desk about anything large or delicate. If you are flying in, remember the sedan's luggage limit of two large bags and two carry-ons, so a weekend with two sets of luggage fits, but four suitcases call for the SUV.

For hotels, give the full hotel name and street address, because several downtown buildings share similar names. If you are staying at a property with a private entrance, mention it, and the driver will use it.

Changing plans and the cancellation terms

Plans change, particularly around a date as loaded as this one. The cancellation terms are simple: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge. At 72 hours or less the charge is 10%. At 48 hours or less it is 50%, and at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, it is 100%, measured from the scheduled pickup time. If the Family Day weekend is likely to shift your plans, book early and confirm early.

Booking tips

Reserve the restaurant first, the car second, and do both in February's first week at the latest. Enter the restaurant name and the reservation time in the booking notes so the driver can arrive early. Add the flight number if anyone is arriving by air, and check the airport limo page for how airport pickups are handled. For an outing with parents rather than a partner, see the Mother's Day and Father's Day outings guide, which uses the same hourly structure.

How much does it cost to hire a limo for Valentine's Day?

By the hour, an Executive Sedan is $135–$165 with a 2-hour minimum, a Luxury SUV is $175–$210 with a 2-hour minimum, and a stretch limousine is $225–$300 with a 3-hour minimum. All prices are before tax.

How long should I book the car for a dinner and show?

Most dinner-and-show evenings take four to five hours from pickup to drop-off. A five-hour sedan booking costs about $675–$825.

Can the driver wait while we eat?

Yes, on an hourly booking the car stays with you for the booked time, so you do not need to call for a ride at the end of dinner.

Is a stretch limousine too much for two people?

For two people a sedan or an SUV is usually the better value and a more private choice. A stretch limousine is built for groups of 8 to 10.

What if my flight lands late on Valentine's Day?

Flight tracking is built in, and the free wait is an hour after an international landing or thirty minutes after a domestic one. Tell the booking team the flight number at the time of booking.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as your restaurant reservation is confirmed. February 14 is among the busiest evenings of the year, and the Monday holiday makes Sunday evening even more popular.

What is the cancellation policy?

No charge with more than 72 hours' notice. The charge is 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show, measured from the scheduled pickup time.
