If you are booking a Rosewood Hotel Georgia limo, you are travelling to a downtown address that most of Vancouver's visitors can reach in under half an hour from the airport and a few minutes from the cruise terminal. The trips that call for a chauffeur are the ones with a schedule: an early flight, a gala, a mountain weekend. LimousineCanada.ca runs those, and this guide shows what each costs.
Our company operates on its own, with no tie to Rosewood Hotels or to the hotel, and this page carries no endorsement from them. It collects what a guest needs on arrival day, from the hotel's own pages and from public transit sources.
A Rosewood Hotel Georgia car service for a downtown address
The hotel is at 801 West Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver, and its website calls it an urban escape moments from downtown, with Stanley Park, shopping and attractions only minutes away. It lists Granville Island and FlyOver Canada among nearby experiences. That means a car is rarely needed to move around the core, and almost always useful for everything that sits beyond it.
Typical bookings we take for hotel guests fall into five groups: airport pickups and drop-offs; transfers to Pacific Central and the Rocky Mountaineer; cruise-day luggage runs to Canada Place; evenings out when parking and queues are best avoided; and the long road north to Whistler. Each has its own section below.
How do you get from Vancouver airport to Rosewood Hotel Georgia?

Rosewood Hotel Georgia is about 14 km and 25 to 40 minutes from Vancouver International Airport by road. A pre-booked Executive Sedan is $145–$175 before tax. The Canada Line train reaches Waterfront Station in about 25 minutes, then it is a walk or short ride to Georgia Street.
The Canada Line is run by TransLink, whose visitor guide lists the YVR-to-Waterfront trip at about 25 minutes and adds a $6.50 AddFare for travel from the airport toward downtown. That makes it the cheap choice for a single traveller with one bag. For anyone else, or for a flight that lands at an awkward hour, the car is easier. Our Vancouver airport limo page has the detail on meeting points and international timing.
Rosewood Hotel Georgia limo fares
These ranges apply the published per-kilometre rates with the minimum transfer. Anything under about 30 km falls on the minimum for a sedan and SUV, and under about 35 km for the Sprinter.
| Route from the hotel | Distance | Typical drive | Sedan, 3 pax | SUV, 6 pax | Sprinter, 12–14 pax |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vancouver airport (YVR) | about 14 km | 25–40 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Canada Place cruise terminal | about 1 km | 5–10 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Pacific Central Station | about 3 km | 10–20 min | $145–$175 | $180–$220 | $295–$355 |
| Squamish | about 64 km | about 55 min | $300–$355 | $375–$450 | $530–$635 |
| Whistler Village | about 124 km | about 2 h | $575–$690 | $725–$875 | $1,025–$1,230 |
The Squamish and Whistler lines come from Squamish's tourism office, which lists Squamish to downtown Vancouver at 64 km and Squamish to Whistler at 60 km. Every figure excludes tax, tolls and gratuity. The booker confirms the exact all-in fare for the exact address, and our rates page lists the full card.
Arrival day: a timeline from landing to the lobby
Here is how a typical international arrival unfolds with a chauffeur, so you know what to expect at each stage.

- Your flight is tracked from departure, and the pickup time adjusts automatically if it runs early or late.
- After landing, we allow 60 minutes of free waiting on an international arrival, or 30 minutes on a domestic one, which covers passport control, baggage and customs.
- Your chauffeur meets you according to the instructions in your confirmation. A name-board greeting inside the arrivals hall is an add-on at $100–$150.
- The vehicle is loaded and the drive begins. Plan 25 to 40 minutes to Georgia Street, depending on the hour.
- At the hotel, the chauffeur pulls up at the entrance for the hotel's team to take over.
If you land in the early morning and your room is not ready, ask the hotel about early check-in when you reserve. We can hold the car for a breakfast stop and continue to the hotel when the room is ready, with waiting beyond the free window charged by time.
What to know about arriving at 801 West Georgia
The hotel's website does not describe its arrival court, valet charges or airport distance, and refers readers to a separate hotel policy page. We therefore avoid describing the entrance in detail, and instead brief the chauffeur with the street address and your name. Contact the hotel before you travel if you need a particular drop-off point, or if you are delivering a large item for an event.
Georgia Street is a busy downtown corridor. At the evening rush a stop at the entrance may need to be brief, so have your bags ready and let the chauffeur handle the doors. On a weekend night with an event nearby, a pickup a block away is sometimes the calmer choice, and we will suggest one if conditions warrant.
By train, by ship, by private jet
Guests often arrive by something other than a commercial flight. Pacific Central Station, at 1150 Station Street, is the VIA Rail terminal and is open daily from 4:30 a.m. to midnight. VIA lists SkyTrain's Main Street–Science World station beside it and a BC Connector bus to Whistler. Our Pacific Central page describes the meeting point.

For cruise travel, Canada Place is within a kilometre of the hotel, so the car is mainly for bags or an airport run after disembarking. See the Canada Place cruise port page.
Guests arriving by private aircraft will find the arrangements on our YVR private aviation page. The Rocky Mountaineer page covers the station used by that train.
A hotel with a long history
The hotel opened in 1927, in a Georgian Revival building of twelve storeys designed by Seattle architect John Graham Sr. with Vancouver's Robert Thompson Garrow. After decades of change it was restored and reopened under the Rosewood name in July 2011, according to the architectural database we consulted. Its own listings nod to the opening year through the 1927 Lounge.
The hotel's website describes it as Vancouver's time-honoured city sanctuary, which fits a heritage building that still sits among glass towers.
Dining, the spa and rooms
The hotel's pages list several places to eat and drink: Hawksworth, which the hotel notes as recognised in the 2024 Michelin Guide recommendations; Reflections The Garden Terrace, an outdoor space serving seasonal tapas-style dishes; the 1927 Lounge; The Georgia Bar; Prophecy; and Bel Café. Sense, A Rosewood Spa offers treatments and a day pass.
Room categories include Deluxe Rooms, Suites, Signature Suites and accessible accommodation. Named options include a Deluxe King City View, the Rosewood Suite with a rooftop patio and plunge pool, and the Lord Stanley and Rosewood penthouse suites. No total room count is given on the hotel's pages, so we do not state one here.
Weddings, meetings and gala nights
The hotel lists event spaces, meetings and weddings, and curated group stays for ten or more. For a wedding on Georgia Street the transport plan has three parts. A stretch limousine for the couple and wedding party, priced at $225–$300 an hour with a 3-hour minimum. A Sprinter for family arriving from the airport. And a late-evening vehicle for the couple's departure, timed to the end of the reception.
For gala nights and boardroom weeks, an hourly Executive Sedan keeps a principal on a flexible schedule. Our corporate car service page covers accounts and invoicing, and our wedding limo page sets out the ceremony-to-reception timeline.
A meeting-day plan by the hour
Executives who base themselves at the hotel often book an Executive Sedan by the hour rather than paying several minimum fares. The rate runs from pickup to drop-off, including waits, at $135–$165 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. A Luxury SUV is $175–$210 per hour with the same minimum.

| Time | Stop | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 7:30 a.m. | Hotel to a morning meeting across downtown | Under the minimum transfer |
| 12:30 p.m. | Lunch and a return | Waiting is billed by the hour |
| 3:00 p.m. | Afternoon site visit | Add stops as needed |
| 6:00 p.m. | Airport run | About 14 km, $145–$175 as a separate transfer |
For the logic of when an hourly booking beats several transfers, see our hourly chauffeur page.
Whistler options from Georgia Street
The road to Whistler runs about 124 km and takes around two hours in good conditions. In winter you need winter tires and patience; Squamish's tourism office advises carrying them from October 1 to April 30 and checking DriveBC, while Whistler Blackcomb's driving page says March 31, so confirm the dates before you leave. Our Vancouver to Whistler page covers the route in detail.
| Option | Cost | Time | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| BC Connector bus | Operator's fare; daily Vancouver–Squamish–Whistler service per Squamish's tourism office | About 2 h plus stops | Solo travellers on a budget |
| Rental car | Set by the rental company | About 2 h | Confident winter drivers; ask for winter tires |
| Skylynx shuttle | Operator's fare; Squamish–YVR service | Varies | Travellers going to Squamish rather than Whistler |
| Private car with chauffeur | $575–$690 sedan; $725–$875 SUV | About 2 h | Families, ski bags, groups, bad weather |
The bus is the cheaper option for a person travelling alone, and we say so openly. A private car pays for itself when several people share it, when ski bags and boot bags are involved, or when you want a driver rather than a mountain highway in a snowstorm. Our Whistler village guide lists the scenic stops.
Short outings: Stanley Park, Granville Island and FlyOver Canada
The hotel names Stanley Park, Granville Island and FlyOver Canada as nearby. For those, a short transfer is a minimum fare, and an hourly booking covers a loop. Our Stanley Park guide and Granville Island guide give timing, and the Vancouver luxury weekend shows how to combine them with dining.
Late dinners, arena nights and the ride home
A downtown hotel puts you within reach of most of Vancouver's evening venues on foot, which is exactly why the return leg is the part worth booking. Hawksworth and the other rooms on the hotel's list invite a long dinner, and a car arranged for a fixed time removes the wait for a taxi at the end. On those evenings we agree a pickup corner with you before dinner, and the chauffeur tracks the time rather than the venue's exit crowd.
Arena nights follow different rules. When a home game or a concert lets out, surrounding streets fill quickly and rideshare surge pricing is common. Our guide to NHL playoff nights explains the exit patterns, and the New Year's Eve guide explains why a booking made in autumn is calmer than one made on the day. If your stay overlaps the summer fireworks, the Celebration of Light guide gives the same advice for English Bay.
Seasons that change the plan
Vancouver's summers bring cruise traffic around the harbour, and Canada Place is a short walk from the hotel, so the streets between the two are busiest on sailing days. In winter the city itself is rarely a driving problem, but the mountains are, and a Whistler weekend should be planned around the forecast, not the calendar. Rain is the default condition between October and March, and a vehicle waiting at the door matters more than it sounds.
Shoulder-season visits suit hourly bookings best: the light is good, the crowds are thinner, and an afternoon loop through Stanley Park and over to Granville Island costs far less than a day tour. For anyone building a longer stay, the Vancouver limo page outlines the other services we run in the city.
Vehicles, luggage and cancellation
The Executive Sedan takes three passengers, two large bags and two carry-ons. The Luxury SUV takes six passengers with five to six large bags. The Executive Sprinter takes 12 to 14 and over a dozen bags. The fleet page shows each vehicle.
If you need to cancel, the charge depends on the time left before pickup. Beyond 72 hours it is nothing. From 72 hours it is 10%, from 48 hours 50%, and from 24 hours or a no-show 100%.
For the hotel's own details, read its Vancouver page and About page. For the Canada Line, see TransLink's visitor guide, and for the Sea-to-Sky, Squamish's getting-here page. More properties are on our luxury hotels page, including the Fairmont Pacific Rim.
